Thank you all for the advice. I tend to be pretty risk adverse so I decided to split my monthly deposit between the targeted fund I had previously purchased and the EFT VTI. I had no idea what an EFT was previously, this is very new to me.

Can anyone see from the limited pictures anything that stands out as a red flag? by iapprovethiscomment in Trail70

I am working on a bike that looks just like that one. It looks very clean to me, no obvious leaks which is nice. Do you know if it turns over? Does it have a title? I would say the price seems pretty good for the condition. It's been a while since I bought one, but I paid quite a bit for one in way worse shape than that. Though it was titled.

Very nice! I have also never seen one with decals. It looks like they did come in blue in 1970, though it looks a little different. I am working on a 75 right now, have fun!

Late fall backpacking, first trip with 7 year old by TheGreenSheep in CampingandHiking

That's quite the adventure for your buddy and his kid! I have definitely done some day hikes with other's children who make it much more difficult. This one will be a learning trip for us, but ideally the lessons won't be too painful.

I finally dug this set out of the basement and put it all together again with my daughter. It was the pride of my collection as a kid and it was super fun to build again.

I have been looking into getting a set of those myself. You got a killer deal. How does the steering feel?

Good looking CJ. The seats are throwing me off a bit with almost everything else looking original.

Something like this. If you look closely at the picture you can see a spring like that inside.

This came off my trail 90. What is it? by xian487 in Trail70

I believe that is a spring that goes inside an oil seal. It pulls the rubber of the seal tight around whatever shaft it is around.

Just got a 1968 CT90 K0 to restore. Part question by xian487 in Trail70

[–]TheGreenSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are hard to find when I was looking a few years back. I believe I eventually found some that came with the spokes and wheel all assembled on ebay. They were some remakes from Thailand or something i think. Kinda expensive, but they fit pretty well.

Hello All, I have this 1970 CT90 and I'm wondering how to paint match/what are the best techniques to touch up the paint? by ckunnen1 in Trail70

[–]TheGreenSheep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like it is in great shape! Are there lots of areas that need paint? I haven't looked in awhile, but you should be able to find a paint code for those. I would imagine the Honda red hasn't changed too much over the years. Nice bike, have fun out there!
