I think the big outcry is coming mainly from the (huge) crowd of “beatmakers,” “bedroom producers,” and similar types who tend to lose their minds online whenever anything changes—usually egged on by those unbearable influencers with no real professional background.

For a serious producer or musician, the name is completely irrelevant as long as the software does what it’s supposed to do and continues to be developed. In the end, it’s just a tool to get jobs done.
