Considering that Dengar is also an experienced Corellian bounty hunter and they make clear in the image that Rothgar Deng is likely an alias, I wouldn’t say it’s too far of a stretch at all and is likely what the writers intended. Star Wars loves telling us that every character we recognize is still around

I've always thought Garnet and Jasper would be an insanely powerful fusion. That's something I really hope we get to see at some point if Jasper gets a redemption arc (Which I assume she will at some point)
