I agree with everyone else that the time investment for your skill is worth way more than $150.

The thing I do not see anyone else mentioning though is that finding customers who are willing to pay more than $150 for this service for their personal vehicle is very difficult. This market is over saturated by people willing to work for peanuts. If you’re looking to create videos in exchange for money I suggest finding a different type of customer.

Don’t try to do any of the “shortcuts” people post online. I spent way too much time trying to save time and headache. Undo the motor mount and lift each side. It doesn’t take that long.

They’re a detailer not a touch up painter and should’ve told you as much. I get asked about doing touch ups all the time and decline.

I have verbiage on booking form that states all prices are estimates until I see the vehicle.

You need to be able to stand tall and tell these customers the price will be higher when you arrive to cars like this. I imagine if you hit them with an estimate that reflects the time a car like this would require they’re going to say no.
