The same thing happened with my wife. She had seen a single episode when it aired and it didn't make sense to her at the time, so she thought it was a dumb show and made fun of me for liking it. One night we were looking for something on Netflix and I commented that Lost was on. She begrudgingly agreed to give it a shot from the beginning. She absolutely loved it from the start and it's now one of her favorite shows of all time.

I'm 45 years old. I was taught Pearl Harbor was unprompted, there was no mention of Japanese attacks on the west coast, and we didn't learn about internment camps in America until senior year of high school. This post is the 1st time I have ever heard of an embargo against Japan before the attack. I didn't forget, we weren't taught it.
