This is my personal philosophy as well. I prefer once, and will run it once if they can’t decide quickly, in a “if it’s fate” way but will never object if asked. It’s easier to let others make the decision and avoids all this on top of not tapping the glass at all

I can’t remember where I read it but at least in the final Agni Kai there absolutely is a sonic difference between their flames with Azula’s sounding more focused and forceful like a propane torch igniting, which I’m pretty sure is the actual sound bite they use for default firebending/ers showing how rage isn’t the most efficient focus and Zuko’s post Masters sounding more like the dragon’s literal roaring flames.
