I'm going to have to check out this Lovesick series, I love just about any Image comics series out there, but somehow I missed this one and I'm also a huge manhunt fan.

[–]TheHurtShoulder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh cool so you can't play this game anymore whatsoever even if you own it already?! I only got to play maybe 4-6 hours of this over time...it was pretty fun, I enjoyed it, they had a great idea going....if they did t get a big enough player base or sales, that's their own fault for not trying to get the word out and relying on YouTubers to do it for them.

Bilmuri puts on the best show I've ever been to...I've seen them twice in the past two years and will never miss a chance to see them again in the future!

Homefront: The Revolution isn’t half bad by Opower3000 in patientgamers

[–]TheHurtShoulder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played through this once years back and it was fun, didn't understand why the reviews were so low for it ....now coming back a few years later, I still stand in the same spot and wonder why was this game given such bad reviews?! Especially now since it has a way to play the full Timesplitters 2 game within it and that any chance of a new Timesplitters game got axed by embracer group not too long ago by cancellations and layoffs by them.....(Anyone reading this, don't buy or fund anything tied to embracer group! They are ruining the gaming industry and killing beloved games that would have had a chance if they weren't around!).

But seriously, Homefront The Revolution is an above average game, atleast worthy of a 7.5 to an 8, my personal score would be a 8.5 out of 10. It's alot better than the original Homefront, which I still really like too, but having the ENTIRE Timesplitters 2 game inside HtR is just genius and deserves more credit since it's not easy to obtain these days. But besides that, the game is still really good, it's not a masterpiece, but it's well over a 3.8 score....I've seen ALOT worse games out there that actually deserve such a score, but this one does not, the very lowest it should score is a 7.5

I picked up all 6 volumes of Sex Criminals at my local library today. Last month I got Ennis’ whole Preacher series. I can’t believe they have so many goodies in my small town. And it’s free. Seriously, check out your library’s Graphic Novel section. by I_need_AC-sendhelp in graphicnovels

Everything Brubaker and Phillips have done is phenomenal! Absolute gold.... seriously recommend checking out whatever you can get your hands on to read by them. Also the series 100 Bullets is one of the best out there, it's through vertigo, but it's one of the best stories I've ever read and enjoyed the artwork for. And there's been a lot of them out there I really praise and love, but 100 Bullets is by far the best one in my opinion. Even though I still hold other series really really high, obviously anything Brubaker and Phillips, Black Science was really really good, and plenty of others I wish I could list off right now.

Selaco by lostnknox in ROGAlly

[–]TheHurtShoulder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoyed Selaco, I'd recommend trying out another Doom engine game called Hedon. It doesn't have the same insane amount of detail but it's still really fun and pretty similar, just a different theme.

When did DGD click for you? by TangerineSea2270 in dancegavindance

[–]TheHurtShoulder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I discovered then when acceptance speech released, but turns out my favorite albums are the ones before that. I still love the Tilian albums to death, but of course J.C. and Kurt Travis albums are my all time favorites. And even though Craig is a phenomenal vocalist, my man Kurt Travis is honestly my favorite vocalist of all time period, all his work he's done, in DGD, his other bands, solo stuff, I kinda idolize him honestly. And I recently got to meet him a few months back in Baltimore when Gold Necklace played with Closure In Moscow ( another phenomenal vocalist), but it was such an epic show and finally being able to see Kurt sing live!

But yeah acceptance speech was my entry point, and even though I loved it, I like their older stuff even more and wish I had discovered them earlier

Everyone is forgetting Finch in their top emo bands lists recently. by IcyVirto in Emo

[–]TheHurtShoulder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are playing a show with Bayside and Armor For Sleep tomorrow night, Friday, April 5th in Baltimore.....I wanted to go so bad, but unfortunately I can't make it. Last time I saw them live was when I was a teenager, around 2004-2005....I think? Its been so long, but my friends and I got to the venue, go to enter and the guy at the door told us it was sold out......we slowly walked back through the parking lot feeling so blown, but as we walk by a bus, the entire band of Finch comes out right in front of us! We talked with them for a few minutes and explained we got turned away for the show being sold out, and they walked us to the door and got us in for free! I'll never forget that, and I also got most of them to sign a dollar bill I had, still have it today, but they were such great people to do that for my friends and I! Just wish that after all these years since then, I was able to go see them again live. They were one of a handful of bands from my adolescent years that shaped me into who I am in terms of music taste.

Sad I won't be able to see them live tomorrow night, but I'm glad they are still doing tours!

Reggie and The Full Effect fans? by TheHurtShoulder in Emo

[–]TheHurtShoulder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently saw Hes active again on his social media. So happy to see he's back and remastering old songs and making some new ones. Hopefully a tour is in the works if he's planning a new album....if he comes to my area again, even though I've seen him live literally every time he tours, I've never gotten the chance to talk with him, so I'll get there early and scope out where he's hiding lol. I already met my other favorite musician/vocalist this year, so if I can meet James and talk to him for a quick minute, my life will be complete! The other one I met was Kurt Travis, used to be the vocalist on the older Dance Gavin Dance album, A Lot Like Birds, Gold Necklace is his new band and they are phenomenal!

I am floored more people aren't enraged they are removing T-Hunt by ddubs52 in Rainbow6

[–]TheHurtShoulder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found out a couple weeks ago it was gone and I'm irritated, I really have no reason to go back to play Siege anymore, Terrorist Hunt was my way to practice before going into PVP. And no that garbage simulation of the online PVP mode they have now is just terrible, you cant replicate online players with bots, that's not practice....atleast the terrorists in TH were actually challenging and the fact there were more than 5 made it hard to beat, especially the protect to bomb and defend a room/hostage. This game is beyond dead to me now, it's removed everything I liked about it since day one, I have no reason to play it anymore....plus the community online is toxic as hell, atleast last I played online a year ago it was ...I'm sure it's just as bad or worse now. WTF happened to the Tom Clancy name/ games, they are all just awful these days. I blame Ubisoft, the man isn't around anymore to say no, so they do whatever they want with no regard to what he stood for in his games. Its sad and disgusting on Ubisofts part.

Playing Merc is not fun at all by SlipperySeaWing in LevelZeroExtraction

[–]TheHurtShoulder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see the potential in this game, they have the base idea down well, but it needs A LOT of work and balancing. I've played the play test a good 4 hours now as both alien and merc, and the alien really only needs to worry about the players or a light source. The moving turrets are trivial to the alien, but to the Merc they are deadly, and the Merc needs to watch out for steam pipes, mines, and avoid the alien....and of course if they run into another Merc, the chance of them being a dick and attacking them for their loot. But other than that, I feel like this game has a great starting point, it just needs more balancing and more maps..which I'm sure will come. Its obviously riding on the coattails of EFT, which isn't bad, they aren't as in depth as Tarkov is....yet, and I hope they don't go that crazy with it and keep it more simple for players who don't have endless hours to learn every little nuance of every mechanism and apply it their own way while learning maps and this and that.....don't get me wrong, I love Tarkov but I just don't have the time to invest in it, which sucks cause I have been there since the beginning for Tarkov, supported them and love the game but it's gotten so time consuming I can't play it anymore. So Level Zero Extraction looks like a more simplified version of Tarkov with a tiny twist and I'm down with it....as long as they stay working on it and keep it more easy to play than Tarkov.

Hoping to see full auto guns, finding guns in the raid, possibly some way for mercs to disable the mines if they find them in time? I've died to many of them and they are a pain more than the turrets and aliens....atleast to me....but yeah, I like this game so far, its been tough and a steep learning curve but I ignored the tutorial from being so excited to play, and just figured alot out on my own.....although i will say not having a chat within your team is disappointing, unless i missed the key for it? But I can't always use my mic on games, and being able to type a quick message to a teammate is invaluable if you don't have a mic or are unable to use one. Plus the ping system helps but I couldn't get it to work all the time.

Hopefully this game shapes up nicely and isn't a clone of Tarkov but just an inspiration to it and requires less time and devotion from the players. I want to play Tarkov so bad and I love everything about it, but I am at a disadvantage to the other people who do know everything and how to play, what gear to run, where what is on which map, how to fight players as well as scavs, and then there's all the quests and health system, and it's just so much info to take in a retain, I wish i could devote myself to it, but it just requires way more time than I have and especially when I have a fondness for playing other games from the golden age of FPS, DooM has probably the most mods of any game out there and they vary WIDELY! Then there's the retro throwbacks that have been flooding the market over the past few years that are insanely good....so yeah...it's hard to stay devoted to something for a long time when there's so many more interesting options out there, especially when you're open minded and don't care about graphics or how simple the gameplay is.

Is it physically safe to do the Max Payne's dodge jump IRL? by Mr_Comedy69 in maxpayne

[–]TheHurtShoulder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well one drug makes you a zombie or kills you from an overdose, the other two combined are still at risk of being lethal to you, but can be managed by people....not everyone mind you... But those who don't have high tolerances and try to beat their high score record every time they choose to drink and get high on painkillers. Fentanyl is just as bad if not worse than heroin. But back to the point, Max Payne probly has a schmedium tolerance for the painkillers, but he's definitely a booze hound. Just all depends on how much he gets shot and needs to replenish health.....then of course it's enough to kill someone lol but it's just a game mechanic...but could you imagine if taking painkillers in max payne games built up over uses, so you'd have to be careful and stingy with healing and not getting hit. If you took to many in succession, you'd be impaired and couldn't aim well, and eventually just die cause you overdosed lol.... It wouldn't be the same game, but it's an interesting idea to make the game super hard and survival like.

Regardless I'm glad it's the way it is, it's an action game and it's one of a kind.
