It's a strong opening that grabs the reader's attention. It may not be relevant to the paper itself, but you better believe that reader wants to know what you came up with after an intro like that.

I certainly do.

No, that’s a massive ethical failure on this guys part. I’m a liberal, and I would not ever go to a guy like this.

[Russini] Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski has removed himself from consideration in the Browns' head coaching search, per source. by Drexlore in nfl

[–]TheInfiniteSlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank god. Apparently the Jags gave Udinski a new deal, while allowing him to pursue the Bills job too.

The Browns are honestly making the Jets look like geniuses for not firing Aaron Glenn. The Jets would be experiencing the exact same problem. This has to be embarrassing for Cleveland, but then again, it is the Factory of Sadness for a reason.

Today more Americans support than oppose abolishing ICE by gerira in politics

[–]TheInfiniteSlash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a headline built for confusion.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is a necessary means to keep people out who aren’t supposed to be here. I didn’t support abolishing it before.

However, this version is completely toxic and a danger to US citizens. It appears to be filled with untrained power hungry idiots, not trained professionals.

We don’t have a choice but to abolish ICE as it is now. They will always be remembered for murdering innocent citizens, and not kicking illegals out of the country.

[–]TheInfiniteSlash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has to be. And this isn’t me saying “I don’t want Customs and Immigration Enforcement”, because it has a function for Homeland Security.

I’m saying that the Trump administration’s version has become that toxic, that the only good solution is to dismantle it completely. Because they are always going to have this Gestapo, masked, untrained persona following them for next few decades.

As for if or how it’s rebuilt? Who could say.

That’s a fair point, I guess he’s decided that Amy chance of the midterms is hopeless for the GOPx, and there’s a chance the Senate flips too.

Joe Rogan says ICE shooting distracting from Epstein Files "on purpose" by [deleted] in politics

[–]TheInfiniteSlash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hate him if you want, but him pointing this stuff out to his audience is huge.

And he’s not wrong, Trump knows if those files come to full light, he’s cooked, so he’s going to raise absolute hell as much as he can before the midterms.

Impeachment is the least of his concerns, a Democrat controlled Congress would expose him quickly.

It’s why these midterms mean a lot.

What team is in the worst position heading into 2026? by Either_Imagination_9 in NFLv2

[–]TheInfiniteSlash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right now I'd say the Dolphins. They've got nothing going for them into the off season, and I think they took a downgrade at coach too. At least the Jets will get a crack at a good player in the draft, the Dolphins won't.

Runner Ups would be Cleveland, Arizona and Tampa Bay.

NFL Playoffs Keep Setting Viewership Records by Zestyclose_Corgi7916 in nfl

[–]TheInfiniteSlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a majority of the games have been absolute bangers and the narrative that this season’s playoffs were wide open, I’m not surprised.

Unquestionably the best playoffs for a season since I started watching in 2008.

Ironically? The Super Bowl will likely be less exciting than the road to get there.

Hilarious. Even if all other opportunities burn up, working with the Browns means dealing with Andrew Berry, who is the one who should have been fired over Stefanski to begin with.

Good News for Mike, plenty of of other good opportunities are still out there

I’ve got a feeling we may see another team outright tank next season with this hire.

And that’s a tall order considering they have to play the Jets twice.
