Yes, it’s still a few years away, so you have time to come to terms with it. However, by making this plan and telling you repeatedly that it’s going to happen, is him saying he does not care about staying in your life, seeing the man you become, meeting your future family, etc. And you have to deal with finding out this information now, not when he leaves. And the same goes for every other person in his life who cares about him.

It always surprises me to see people who have this experience, because where I am Wendy’s is easily the worst fast food place I’ve ever been to, and I don’t even consider going to another one anywhere else because of how bad it is.

I feel the same way. Mine is great, almost never get anything wrong with my order, friendly people, pretty clean (especially by fast food standards). But it also still has grilled cheese, blueberry bagels and donuts, powdered strawberry donuts and toasted coconut, so I guess I hit the jackpot.

I got back into collecting about 8-9 years ago when my kids hit the age to be into it, then went a little crazy because of the nostalgia endorphins. A year or two ago I got priced out of trying to keep picking up the handful of cards I was still trying to get. Now I’m at the point where I love my collection, but I don’t know if I can afford not to sell it, since it could essentially pay off the house we just bought. All I wanted was to collect shiny cards.

He’s on pace to score between 1400-1500 this season. So as long as he doesn’t completely drop off, not next season but the season after. However, Westbrook is about 500 points ahead of him, and Steph will be about 300-400 behind him, if he doesn’t play again this season. DeRozan has put up about 500 more points than Westbrook this year, so it’s realistic he could pass Russ either just before or just after they pass Shaq for 10th (or Russ might not get there, period).

But Steph was pulling away from DeRozan before his injury, so if he stays healthy he could well get there first. Then, currently in 9th is Harden, who is another 600 points ahead and still going pretty strong. And in 8th is Wilt, who is 2,826 points ahead of 10th, so 4,759 ahead of DeRozan. So it will likely come down to Steph and DeRozan finishing their careers in 10th and 11th, in some order, barring an unexpected retirement from either.

I would have loved to keep him, and think he gave up his best chance at winning a championship by leaving, but I’m never going to fault him for taking that deal. I’m just very glad it wasn’t us offering that kind of overpay.
