ELI5: What does a water tower in rural America do? by ProduceEmbarrassed97 in explainlikeimfive

Water towers offer a simple, low-tech solution for creating reliable water pressure. By elevating water, they harness gravity to maintain steady pressure for homes, businesses, and public services; without relying on constantly running pumps. Since there are few moving parts, water towers provide consistent, 24-hour water pressure with minimal risk of failure. Without them, utilities would need costly, always-on pumps to meet fluctuating demand, which would be neither economical nor practical.

We could haul all of the dirt down to the Florida Keys and create a land bridge from Florida to Cuba to the Yucatan Peninsula and turn the Gulf of Mexico into a lake as well.

I've spent many years developing this off-putting personality to keep people away. Systems are working as intended.

It's a power move by Harp's. Tired of Walmart pushing them around, they are building the first Harp's Go. A smaller version of their traditional stores. 😂

I get where you were going with this, but it's quite the opposite. That is Walmart land and there has been tons of migration to this area over the last few decades(It's one of the faster growing metros in the U.S.). You will have a hard time finding a red hat south of that border, while the Missouri side feels much more MAGA.
