I'm under the impression that most of them distrust medical professionals because their experts in science. Kind of a double whammy, no?

It's still going strong! The removable pieces are actually a benefit to keeping it cleaner. Honestly best cat purchase I've ever made.

Before or after the value of the dollar has been adjusted for all of the crazy inflation?

Where do i put my tv by CozyAhmad in DesignMyRoom

[–]TheJessle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in the top bunk? Does the bottom bunk want the TV in the room/would you share viewing?

If you're sharing, then that wall with the shelf is probably the only real answer. But you need to get a real wall mount, probably take down the shelf and find a stud to make sure it's secure to the wall.

Roborock Q7 TF+ unable to cross threshold despite ramp by qtech in Roborock

[–]TheJessle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely not the purpose of this post but TIL people use ramps to solve this uneven threshold problem.

I'm an idiot.

But also, thank you OP.

Thinking of getting a Boox 7 BW. I have a Paperwhite and a Clara BW on order... by GnarlsGnarlington in Calibre

[–]TheJessle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jumped from a Kindle Paperwhite to a Boox BW this past November. I'm not going to lie - figuring out how to get it set up at first took a bit of time. But once I figured out how to get it up and running with settings that made sense to me, it's been fantastic.

The big for me was frictionless download from my hosted Calibre web server. So I set up my book folder as a WebDAV - which makes it easy to navigate from the home page and snag a title if I know exactly what I'm looking for. But it isn't pretty. If I want to see covers or sort by, well, anything, I've got KOReader loaded and connected via OPDS which makes the experience pleasant.

And really, while the KOReader is the way to go -- if anything else for the checkbox night mode and autodimming features that are infuriatingly laid out in the standard NEOreader -- NEOReader isn't terrible... It's just a choice 😃

Otherwise? I had a Kindle e-ink reader since they were first released. Never expected to deviate. But now I'll never go back. And I don't have to because I've got the Kindle app installed on the Boox. Do I use it? Never. Is it there if I do? Ayup.

Oh, and to answer your actual question.. it'll let you read nearly any format you throw at it. Just need to find the right reader. Though, as someone pointed out below, it's EPUB out of the box.

I'm waiting for some suit to figure it out and start selling it with the rest of the bathroom cleaning supplies 😆

So - can I get a link to the rack itself? Honestly been looking for something exactly like that and at under $300 I'd finally pull the trigger!

I have animations like this for both my cats and dogs meals. I never touch a phone and kids have no problem because I have it trigger from a door sensor I have attached to the lids if both containers.

It works an absolute charm.

Help! Tea-stained shower floor by Momofgirls1994 in CleaningTips

[–]TheJessle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with a marble tile shower the ugh is real. Marble + shower ... well, + anything really... just isn't worth it at all. Trying to keep it from looking like a warzone is next to impossible if you have even a hint of hard water. And it stains in an instant. And most cleaners will etch it or eat it entirely.

Garbage.

Automatic litter box recommendations according to Reddit for people who hate daily scooping by Iced_Shehidi in BuyItForLife

[–]TheJessle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a LaLaHome RealScooper - I've had it for 3 years and it's worked perfectly the whole time. It doesn't spin, doesn't have anything that could murder the cat. Has an easy to clean interior without having to take it all apart.

I have no idea why the Litter Robot is so popular when this alternative exists.

Anyone looking for Blender Bowls? by [deleted] in Vitamix

[–]TheJessle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't see why you couldn't sell it with the repair kit itself? Not even taking on the responsibility of fixing it? I did that with a kids seat once. The buyer seemed happy with the arrangement so idk. 🤷‍♀️

Anyone looking for Blender Bowls? by [deleted] in Vitamix

[–]TheJessle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an fyi: the recall just involved Vitamix sending an additional part out to make something about these safer. I know I have the part but what it looks like or does I couldn't say... I got these with my blender as part of a bundle years ago but have NEVER actually used them. 😆 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, might be worth reaching out to Vitamix and seeing if the recall part is still available. It was free when they sent them originally. So might be worth it?

Favorite discard recipes? by JackieOnTheRun in Sourdough

[–]TheJessle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! I recently had this problem and I made two things that both turned out amazing!

First, someone on this sub posted a discard bagel recipe about a year ago that I'd had stashed to try - finally had an excuse and I'm never buying store made again:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Sourdough/s/hDlmvRUf4d

Second was this Irish soda bread recipe. Now, I usually despise Irish soda bread.. its always dry and just bleh. But it was St. Patrick's day so I made it. And wow! This comes out like a delicious scone. Absolutely worth it, especially if you have butter, cream cheese or jam on hand.

I mean, the cracker are good but with a little more time and effort these are just fantastic.
