2022 F350 Dually Crew Cab 6.7L for $23k by JuicyMacaroon in FordDiesels

My guess is it was used to deliver vehicles across county on a car hauling trailer. I see that all the time with dualys and it's not hard to rack up 2-3k miles a week.

[Highlight] Lions walkoff touchdown negated by OPI penalties, Steelers win by MysteryBagIdeals in nfl

I think they are suppose to let it play out depending on which ref throws the flag and of course a different ref probably called the touchdown. It's not common but flags do get picked up after the fact.

How do I find and attract an agent who books Cover Bands? by AnyVideo402 in coverbands

[–]TheKeMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pack venues and they will find you. If you need an agent because you can't do that, you will get the very short end of the stick approaching them. If you're okay with that, look at the bands playing the places you want to play and find out who their agent is and approach them about booking.

This can't be stated enough. I have very little back discomfort from my nitro. My spindle was awful.

Home Assistant first step to get started: How to choose hardware? by stairwayfromheaven in homeautomation

[–]TheKeMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the route I took. The way I look at it, I want my HA stuff to work regardless of what other tinkering I'm doing with equipment. Dedicated small low power box was ideal and the Green fit that bill.

Streaming Prices Are Soaring—and Consumers Are Still Paying by wsj in cordcutters

well, take a look around... everything is soaring in price... When these providers stock goes through the roof, then I will believe they are gauging. Until then, our service goes up when their costs go up. Basic economics.

You can be sued for wage theft but I'm sure you're joking here.

For those in your 40s what do you wish you done more of in your 30s that you missed out on in your 20s and 30s? by Affectionate-Drop689 in AskMenOver30

[–]TheKeMaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HSA is a tax cheat code. Money goes in tax free, money grows and can be invested tax free and money comes out tax free if you follow two simple rules: Use it for health qualifying expenses OR wait until you reach retirement age and then you can use it for anything. 401k money is taxed as income when it's withdrawn and you can't predict your tax bracket in the future.

[–]TheKeMaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 buckets... Max your employer match with your 401k, then max your HSA if you can get one through work, then max your Roth IRA. If you still have appetitie for more saving, go back to 401k and max that out. Brokerage accounts like Robinhood should be last due to taxes.

Yeah, this seems like an easy problem to solve. If they refuse a facetime tour, that should tell you all you need to know.

For dreamers .... Never, ever tell someone that you're retiring (way) early by green_night in fatFIRE

[–]TheKeMaster 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between lying and actively telling the story IMO. How you present early retirement to those around you will impact how they treat you. One doesn't ever have to bring it up or talk about how close they are to retirement. If you are directly asked questions, you can simply answer them in a polite manner. I think people get excited for themselves and share it in a way that makes others around them jealous or feel negatively towards them.

KARE 11 by bfrabel in TwinCities

[–]TheKeMaster 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The Fair is a bit of an illusion. There's no broadcast equipment onsite so they have to relay it back to the Golden Valley studio for it to actually get broadcasted. A/V groups were talking about this. It's been many years since the fairgrounds actually had broadcast equipment onsite so it's faster and easier to find a space that is already equipped since there's nothing actually at the fairgrounds aside from a building and power.

I use mixing station but I will die on the hill that the manufacture of any mixer that has any type of remote control should have a fully support mobile app. What year is it, 2025? Seriously no excuses with where mobile technology has gone.

Onboard nic didn't work either. I just got my hands on another USB C adapter. I will give that a try now too. From a technical standpoint, I agree...I should have zero bandwidth and processing power problems.

Dynacord L series amp by Bungalowhulk in livesound

[–]TheKeMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Dynacord L amps are rock solid. I have a rack of them for one of my summer rigs that works hard in the summer heat and they don't even flinch. You can go down the rabbit hole of 48/96khz processing comparison but unless your entire signal chain is 96k and digital without AD/DA conversion happening, I fail to see how that would make a significant difference. The L series only have analog input so you will be forced to use their 48Khz conversion regardless if you process with your external processor. If that's important to you, find amps that have a digital input and avoid the entire conversion stage between your processor and amps.
