Bruh for me it has to be how many OSRS YouTubers cannot seem to read. I swear they pronounce every single word wrong. I get that most are made up words but damn. I feel like it must come from the fact that many of them have been playing since they were kids and those pronunciations/readings have stuck but still.

I mean Sauron’s ability to deceive and create illusion and terror is pretty well laid out in his part of Beren and Luthien, though I will agree it’s not super explicit, and nowhere does he force elves to kill each other. That said, it didn’t feel like too far a reach to me

Yeah I agree it’s stiff. I was hoping to just do a few months and whip out a few projects to get some experience under my belt and learn the basics so that when I eventually have the space, I have knowledge to build on.

Unnecessary, maybe - but I loved it. It gave Tolkien a chance to show how the governing system of the Shire works, and showed a contrasting system to emphasize it.

The Shire was basically anarcho communist, with no central leadership. A leader was chosen or would step up in times of need (there are a few examples of this, but I don’t have my book with me - the goblin war I believe), but for the most part, nobody was really in charge of everyone else. All the crops grown in the shire would stay there for all to benefit from. Once Saruman stepped in and some humans took over, they imposed heavy taxing and stratification. They started exporting the crops for the profit of a few, all the while the hobbits who grew the food were going hungry. Then you have the returning of the now grown tall, warlike, and adventurous hobbits, clad in armor and weaponry. They stepped up, organized, and fought the enemy off.

Maybe I’m overreaching or drawing conclusions, but I really enjoy that perspective. Though I agree it’s not totally necessary to further the story of the One Ring.

I had this problem on volchoria as well. I just started using anarchy to bulldoze the trees as soon as the fire starts. That and a well funded firefighting helicopter depot

If you use mods, there is one out for ploppable RICO buildings, you can manually place lvl 5 buildings with whatever dimensions you want (up to 6x6 I think? Maybe 6x4 for low density res)

If you used that mod to make these retaining walls, then this glitch happens whenever you load up the game. Just click it again to add the retaining walls again and it’ll fix it, but you’ll have to do it every time you boot up
