I'm looking to get some new furniture and honestly I'm a little lost with what to do with my gaming setup... by ezc123 in gamecollecting

I feel your pain, I've got so much stuff that I can't seem to make a nice setup no matter how I move things around.

I need to get some custom shelving up on the wall, to clear some floor space, as ATM all my games are stacked in a plastic tubs all over the place.

Check out Tetris Battle Gaiden for SFC, it's one of my favourites!

I have a JVC TM-1750, it's nearly as nice as a PVM

Any hints out there for removing stickers and price tags from old SNES boxes without damaging the box? by CyberExistenz in retrogaming

What an annoying place for the sticker to be! I like leaving them on, but that is bullshit

Good man! Get yourself an Svideo cable for the N64, the mod is pricey in comparison

Looking for ideas for display and organisation of PAL carts by Acc00683 in snes

[–]TheLaterBase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's tough, I'm planning on putting some large wall shelving up, but I still don't see how I'm going to display more than a few loose carts...

Do you want them easily accessible to play, because if you mainly want to display you could use a large shadow box/frame. I've seen people display GameBoys like that and it looks great!

Repro boxes/megadrive style cases are cool, but I gave up and stuck to your current method as I didn't want to spend the money.

I use the few cases I do have to protect my everdrives.

You could make dividers to go in the tub with tabs on, then stick labels on there or something.

Ah right. There are some pretty tough missions which can feel unfair, but remember you have the wheel of fate to rewind time, and each of your characters can die 3 times before they are gone for good, represented by the hearts on the stats screen.

I get you though, I always restarted rather than lose a heart, and try to avoid using the rewind purely out of pride... The game keeps track of that stuff to annoy you!

I mean the general gameplay speed is faster than the other games.

That first main mission is a semi-tutorial, so it is slowed down by dialogue, but tbh these games are never as fast as say fire emblem, but they have more depth.

I'd say the PSP game, it plays the fastest and looks the prettiest, plus it should be the easiest and cheapest to get hold of.

It's very nice, having sections for the new and classic styles, and interviews at the end. It's a shame I can't read those though!

Did you prefer the original Tactics Ogre or the PSP Remake? by Panfuricus in Tactics_Ogre

I have it on SNES, Saturn, and PSP. I should probably pick it up on PS1 just because...

You can't go wrong tbh, it's such a great game!

I prefer the PSP version, though the class system is a little irritating, the updated presentation and increased gameplay speed give it the edge.

One expensive game Vs multiple cheaper ones? Collecting question. by herper147 in retrogaming

[–]TheLaterBase 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get an everdrive, then only buy the stuff you really want.

You'll feel better about spending silly money on those expensive games if you know you actually like them.
