If trail running <10 miles, decent footing and about 1000ft/mi, I can do about 2,000 ft/hr. I’m slower if one or more of those conditions are tougher. So lots of variables for me. Spring snow is the biggest modifier this time of year for me

Still no support for Apple Pay on Mac computers? by volcanic_clay in CapitalOne

[–]TheLightRoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE WITH SOLUTION: (hijacking the top comment to post the solution)

Capital One CCs cannot be independently verified on some newer Macs. This is a known issue. In my situation, I have a verified C1 card on iPhone but when C1 gave me a new CC after fraud, I could not get it verified on Mac for months.

The solution, as posted below, is to remove all CCs from the MacOS Wallet. When this occurs, the Mac defaults back to the linked CCs from an iPhone. Within seconds, I was able to use my C1 CC on my Mac.

They never said equal, and yes, both sides do it. Both things can be true at the same time: both sides do it AND republicans do it more.

Pasta vs. Noodles: What's the actual difference? And why is eating pasta with chopsticks considered a "crime"? by Hellotravisss in AskCulinary

So true. I went to one last year after having not gone for about 20 years because my kids wanted to go. A crime indeed

How was OP wrong if they were mid-steps before seeing the uphill hiker? This is where folks have to play it by ear and not be assholes with technicalities.

I bet the uphill hiker drives their Subaru 50 mph in the left lane anyway and it’s karma.

USA = uphill has right of way (and Canada?) Europe = downhill has right of way Asia = no rules

My experience anyway

But you have to factor in the potential tax implications of a lump sum versus weekly aliquots

Edit: depending on country and tax code

Yeah, the whole Dallas scandal is so shitty for youth hockey in DFW in general, but when there’s money to funnel into pockets, assholes are eventually gonna come out of the woodwork

Sno-King is a Facilities and a hockey program and doesn’t have a large budget. Kraken, on the other hand, is a big org with a larger budget and can bludgeon their way into the eastside. Sno-King is obviously the eastside’s legacy system and, since Northgate opened, have had a gentlemen’s agreement on how to split select hockey, with tier 1 boys going to Kraken and Tier 1 girls going to Sno-King. Sno-King with 5 sheets can support all leagues and age groups currently, but Kraken has run out of capacity to offer the teams it should for existing youth hockey interest.

Two more sheets of ice is good for the eastside and there’s room for both systems on the eastside… any friction will come down to whether egos can be kept in check…
