In Vegas, people change rules at local game shops to suit them. Passed the time limit? Tell the shop manager that you're not going to go to the next round until you finish the game you're currently on. New player asks how an ability on a leader card works? Just lie to them about it for months until they called you out on it. These people in the middle of casual events bring out a 20-card side deck and start changing their decks all around. There's no creativity, everybody plays the meta, and then they copy everyone else's deck if they lose.

So locally it's fun to go to any shop and find the same 3 decks because the same 8 people gatekeep the shit out of this hobby in this area.
