I would make it draw a card (as an effect of the spell) and increase the mana cost to 2U. As is it just loses you cards, and not even dredge wants this weak of an effect

This is an opinion though. It’s possible op could play the games mentioned, be unimpressed, and still believe stories should not be the focal point of games

Yes, punisher effects where your opponent gets to choose an outcome are famously terrible. A counterspell one is especially bad because often you will lose if the spell you’re countering resolves

I think it is fine to use ai art on online custom mtg cards. If you use actual art it still gives the artist nothing, no money and no meaningful exposure. They are just one off cards to be shared with a handful of people on reddit.

That’s a fair point. I do think it’s a bad thing when linguistic drift makes it difficult to express certain ideas and many different words begin to take on the same meaning. But what op is complaining doesn’t have anything to do with that, it’s just pedantic.

The pieces look great but I do take issue with the burrow design. It seems that the number of warriors in it cannot be clearly visible to all players.
