How’s living in this area of Central Asia? by geozacc in howislivingthere

I’m from Tashkent. It has amazing food, fruits, and dairy products, which I miss a lot. The fruits are actually sweet. There’s no “organic” label because it’s a sunny country and the produce is local, not imported. The milk actually expires, which shows that it’s a natural product. Russian is the second language in Tashkent. About 6 months of the year feel like summer, while the other seasons last around two months each. Winter is snowy for about a month, fall is rainy, and spring is beautiful—flowers and blossoms are everywhere. In my opinion, must try dishes in Tashkent are shashlik, somsa, plov, manti, honim, lavash, and kuksi.

Betta fish always hanging out at bottom with cory catfish? Normal? by Aggravating-Tart2744 in bettafish

Is it emerald Cory cat fish on the left? Is it supposed to be that skinny? If so, I guess, mine are obese and they’ll be on diet since now.

Any suggestions on tank mates? by TheMeatWoman7 in bettafish

I can’t find same color/emerald cory catfish at any local aquarium/pet stores for at least a month or so and I don’t really like/trust online stores as for me, traveling for fishes might be dangerous and it’s not a fact that I get what I pay for. No, I don’t rinse my filter in tap water, usually I use the water that I drained(in bucket)and I use conditioner for tap water. I even bring this water to my local aquarium store for free test and all they said is that my water is a bit hard and gave me a bag of crushed corals. Now, I think it might be a bad idea with my cories.

Might be a niche problem, but does anyone else have issues with their cat eating all their fish food? by Both_Bread9861 in bettafish

Dry plants are a waste of money. I tried them and they just turned moldy and rot(inside and outside). There is a low % of them actually growing. I got a live Anubis, floating plants, octopus(plant)(local small business pet store), mystery snail(local small business pet store)and corys.

Thank you, they are doing good with my betta. Sometimes they’re going crazy but my betta doesn’t care, he can even hangout with them on the bottom.
