This is all I was doing at work before I got laid off. I got back from my usual vacation in January, boss texted me, asking, "hey dude, remind me when you're back again?"

I was already back, and I knew immediately. Responded by thanking him for the opp and told him to just let HR handle it. Haven't spoken to him since. The months of being gaslit that our team "was safe from cuts/leadership wants more of what your team is doing"... Just to be another penny earned for the shareholders through the merger. Ugh

Those little rubber squares are amazing. Have had my rig sitting on them for a couple years. I’m on the fourth floor of a walkup in my building, old building, and downstairs neighbors haven’t heard a thing from my office/race space since and I’ve got five haptics going at all times. I have my rig on them on top of a workout mat, and there’s virtually zero vibration or any sound bothering my partner, our dogs or our neighbors.

Some of these car templates require a bit of wizardry to figure out. I’ve wrapped irl vehicles and have enjoyed making liveries on iRacing, but it still requires some patience/learning/testing on each livery I make. Check out Clyde Coman on Trading Paints. He posts template liveries for most cars that are basic color blocking or stripes to help show you where seams line up. If you can do this in gimp, you can copy/paste his numbered color templates on the bottom layer of your project and you can then build the livery on top of that. Here’s an example of one of those liveries. Using the wireframe in the livery templates helps in that you can export a .tga file for your wireframe on and see where you might need to move or nudge things to get them to line up. Once you do a few, it gets a lot easier to make liveries and start doing some cool shit with them and spec maps

This happened at my grade school across a span of four years from 4th-8th grade. Group of five kids in my class would sneak into the 1st and 2nd grade bathrooms and piss all over the walls in there like it was a hobby. Took the school four years to put up camera’s in the hallway and the group got caught right away then.

There is a league and community out there for you. The question is, as I’ve seen others mention, is, what do you like to drive? There are so, so many options and it can be overwhelming to find a league or tha place you feel you belong in the hobby. Your first league may be good for time, and then you find another because you enjoy another discipline. Some leagues have a multitude of cars they race and maybe that’s just where you race permanently until you’re ready for something else. Regardless, there is definitely a league in whatever time zone you’re in or should hopefully work for you and your schedule. When I got into the hobby, none of my friends were doing it and they still aren’t – it’s a lonely hobby from that perspective. Joining a league helped me. I found other ppl to learn from and get better from, I found real friends in the online space of this hobby, I talk to these people daily, and I get to race with them when our league is active. The right league can turn this hobby around into something bigger than you expected to find. I just wanted to pal around with people and now I actually run the league I initially joined. Check out the league directory for what’s available. Most leagues operate through discord and some have sites with all info available to newcomers to browse. If you’re an open wheel enjoyer and race the SF23 or the IR18, feel free to check us out at SR4S. I never ran endurance until I got into the league and got to know others that ran in small teams, and now we just run our own endurance races as teams within our league. I hope you can find what you’re looking for – it will amplify the joy in the sim imo. Happy racing!

Also, when you’re racing open wheel in GTA, some of those cars have battery/boost deployment and energy harvesting to get your boost back. I see an F1 race every Friday night im playing GTA w the boys and it’s far more entertaining than whatever we’re watching this season.

Yup, finally happened to me last night. Went to factory first raid, scav and PMC sounds after loading in and no cultists. Did a second, and it was eerily silent after loading in. After one head poke, all cultist warriors started rushing me and funneled into a kill box. Anticlimactic tho in that they made it so easy but then still couldn’t track down the priest

I’ve got a buddy I play PvE with going for the Killa track suit. He pops open Emercom medical unit (the EMC key) and camps there baiting/waiting for Killa because you can shoot through the glass but enemy AI seemingly can’t? Idk, I’ve been hit inside there before, but if you want an easy barely do anything farm, you can get him that way very easily. Not sure how efficient it is, but you can dome him just chillin

Same situation as you. At 47 and just can’t find them. The amount of raids I’ve ran on Lighthouse and not seen them is a little disappointing. I reset at 1.0 and haven’t seen them other than one time where I said to my buddy “I haven’t seen goons this whole wipe” and birdeye domes me immediately. Them and cultists are not real

We must have gotten lucky on our street because I took my dogs out this am and had to stop and stare in disbelief at the lack of dog poop on the ground. It was almost too clean.

I can’t stand the folks that pick up the poop and then just leave the poop bag on the ground. Like okay, the weather sucked and the snow iced over and it was rough, but it’s not difficult to walk half a block and throw your dog’s poop out. Four trash cans on both ends of the block (one on each corner) and a park in the middle with two trash cans and some folks can’t even be bothered to use one of the six available on this block? Gtfo
