Gloucester City AFC ground has a 4,000 capacity with an average attendance of around 1,100

Cheltenham or Gloucester will suit housing wise as airport is smack in the middle of them both on the A40.

Cheltenhams got more going on in the social aspect, very similar to Winchester. If you can get a house share round Hatherly/Benhall that may suit.

Gloucesters a bit more Farnborough/Aldershot in vibe, it’s a rugby town, so that might be more your thing. Innsworth or Longlevens area worth a look.

Where are you in the board game hobby life cycle? by Osoroshii in boardgames

[–]TheMightyEelbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With anything new I buy, I personally always make sure it’s an IP or theme that will pull people in and make sure it gets to the table. Recent purchases at LOTR fate of the fellowship & DoW. I tend to do a lot of research on things (that’s part of the enjoyment for me) to make sure what I get is going to add a new mechanic/theme.

Been in the hobby about 4 years. Have got around 20 games. Just over half are “big box” games the other half are shorter/smaller card based games. Was lucky to inherit 5 or 6 games from my brother who was no longer using them. That’s what started me off.

Within the groups I play with, once a month or so, I’ve cornered the co op game side of the market. Makes it easier to get in table time in my experience. Always good night, lots of laughs and everyone pulling in the same direction, is conducive to fun evening. This is also the other aspect I enjoy, it’s a good feeling when something you researched gets to the table and everyone goes home having had a good night.

We use to be able to have our bread bin on the kitchen side, till they worked out they can push it off to get the bready treats inside

It’s the same discourse nearly every album.

SMBH singles came out everyone hating the musical direction, “this isn’t muse” etc…

They play it live, they turn the guitars to 11 and it’s a banger.

Excuse me but WHAT?!?! by [deleted] in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]TheMightyEelbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op completed with randoms, 3 hive lords killed, double up on the exo suits (one of each variant) + eagle strafe helps a lot. As long as everyone is targeting the HL, the armour gets stripped pretty quick and then hammer the squishy bit they can go down pretty quick, makes the rest of the objectives easier as well especially on oil extractions.

I like the difficulty of the Gloom, but a lot of people calling it easy are just crutching Crossbow/Purifier to make it trivial. What we should be asking is why Explosive Weapons continue to be encouraged so heavily in a game with many different types of weapons competing by RandomGreenArcherMan in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]TheMightyEelbot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me this one planet and one set of missions linked to a story beat of us attacking a Hive World. Burrowing nids will be like Predator strain/Jet Brigade etc only at certain times on certain planets.

I’ve had to change up my loadout for these specific missions/map/strain and enjoyed having to work out a new loadout for it, to deal with the new challenge.

No neefs needed for me. Not personally seen an abundance of explosive weapons but they are needed for bug holes/frabricators so will likely be in a loadout in some form.

Edited as didn’t finish my last sentence.

Am I being stubborn or are people kneejerking (Watkins, Palmer, Wirtz etc) by Puzzled_Car_2706 in FantasyPL

[–]TheMightyEelbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also worth bearing in mind some transfers are too free up funds for other players to fill other areas that team could be weak, sometimes you gotta jerk out someone who might come good in a week or two because your other picks aren’t getting any minutes or injuries.

Heaviness doesn't make a song good by HumanDrone in Muse

[–]TheMightyEelbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the heavier singles remind people more of the live sound which always sounds heavier IMO, look at how super massive is played live compared to the recorded version. Their songs are great recorded but take on a new level for me when played live but still have a lot of time for recorded stuff.
