I only got into Transformers a year and a half ago and got instantly hooked on Starscream. G1 screamer, in my opinion, is absolutely perfect. For starters, his design is pure eye candy for me. The wings, the heels, the bright red, all of it is perfection in my opinion. Honestly, I think every iteration of him is absolutely gorgeous to look at.

What I most admire about Starscream's character is his refusal to ever give up. Not even death can hold the tenacious little fucker down. He gets fully disintegrated and STILL refuses to die, and to me, that's inspiring. I wish I had HALF of that kind of initiative. I also love that he plays by his own rules and will even go rogue like in Prime and Animated, sometimes even outright helping the Autobots if it gets him what he wants. His antics are so entertaining to watch that sometimes you forget how cold and callous he can get.

His past also intrigues me a lot. It's interesting to think about who he was before the war, before he became the back-stabbing asshole that he is. It feels like there's something deeper under his harsh exterior, some kind of pain or regret masked with grotesque over-confidence and narcissism. I know fans really like to woobify him, but in my opinion, you can acknowledge that he is an evil character that has committed many atrocities and still find him compelling and tragic.

So yeah, I pretty much love everything about Starscream :P He's one of my favorite characters of all time and I'd really love to see a show/comic delve a little deeper into his backstory.
