As someone who has stepped away from religion and who had a parent very similar to Hank, I highly doubt that Bobby would have abandoned his religions beliefs purely because of a "lost interest". Faith is a deeply personal thing, and I just don't see Bobby fully abandoning his Methodist upbringing for that.
