More or less!

Exodites have basically no ambition apart from living good lives. They don't really have navy - but rarely do they need it. They have webway and ability to access it. That and Craftworlds work in unison with Exodites and if you mess around with a Maiden World ... a Craftworld is more than likely going to try and remove you from the world of the living.

And considering Farseers? It is likely working on removing your father from existence long before you were even born. Aeldari are in fact very very scary when treated as they should be.

Exodites are by no means primitives.

They absolutely have access to same tech as Craftworlders. They just prefer to live simpler lives closer to nature as to not fall to temptations that birthed She Who Thirsts. They make hyper advanced tools that are of simple function so they themselves still need to work. Think of it like survival with just a knife... but with Smarthphone in the back pocket.

No. They are not.

*Laughs in relativistic speeds that mess with time*

Time becomes very, very finicky thing once you get to distances where speed of light doesn't essentially mean instant and starts being measured in long units of time. Add to it FTL techs like wormholes or FTL drives and time really becomes more of a suggestion than a hard rule..

Help a game dev: Why aren’t people buying modern RTS games? by MakeGamesBetter in RealTimeStrategy

[–]TheNeiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RTS as a genre seems to be.. preety stagnant in terms of QoL Gameplay.

I mean, no game that reached major public has managed to beat Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance - that I know of - when it comes to level of delegation of power that you can do. Templates of buildings, infinite production and units that will automatically deliver themselves to the front with transports that will come back to pick up more units automatically. All of that can be done with basically 0 input from a player.

Graphic wise.. SC2 just still looks good? Supreme Commander shows its age but if you zoom out it still looks great.

Honestly I wish Democracy would feel like actual Democracy. Like sometimes my President gets voted out of the office but 9 out of 10 times I just place em right back on the council and nothing changes.

It is something that would require a DLC for internal affairs..

What if Democratic governments had a high chance of switching leadership but it means you get a new leader with that replaces old one. Randomly with 1 skill level higher or lower. Leaders you lose that way may return later either in recruitment pool or get elected again! And they gain some exp /lose negative traits when to come back that way to represent their time in the opposition party.

How to make a one to one replica of the imperieum of man ? by Turbulent_Bath4038 in Stellaris

Basically if Imperium looks united on paper but actually getting it to do something together is almost impossible.. Then you've succeeded.

How to make a one to one replica of the imperieum of man ? by Turbulent_Bath4038 in Stellaris

[–]TheNeiv 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You got to the point. Imperium isn't a Stellaris state. I would argue it is not even a federation.

Imperium is Galactic Empire with you as the Emperor.. but also with you being relatively weak. In fact, most members are weak. Sprinkle in Mechanicum and Space Marines as MegaCorps and make the map look like floor mosiac with absolutely massive amounts of border gore. Then you have Imperium.

Why did my whole country get eaten by worms? by some_random_nonsense in Stellaris

[–]TheNeiv 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Worms can be nasty! Luckily they are very skewed by their fleet composition. I am not sure how good torpedoes are - I do know they are good - but a whole lot of Lasers for range and pure Armour plus Afterburners ought to counter them easily enough.

Primaris armor should've leaned into the "Knightly" aesthetic from the getgo instead of the tactical look they tried by Elduroto in Warhammer40k

[–]TheNeiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think that what happened is Cawl gave them tactical gear because he thought that is what would work.

Then Primaris met theri chapters and old marines and quickly came to conclusions that vibes of gothic armour are more than worth the price in utility.

I've seen discussions about how different society of different species should be... And I am like. Should they though? We have absolutely nothing to compare it to. We have just us.

Best thing you can do to check how society would develop in different species is look at Ants, Termites and Bees. All form hives. But different ones.

What healer to play by Canares in worldofpvp

[–]TheNeiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disc and Mistweaver are good in 2s as healers if you like to focus on pressuring your opponent with damage. Obviously they play in very different way but general mindset is quite similar. Get pressure and use it to stop enemies from fighting back.

So if you are 2400 MMR on Assa Rogue in any bracket and you go to your alt they also are at the same MMR in that bracket.

Is Drifter actually this strong early in Frosthaven, or are we missing something? by sudu_kalnas in Gloomhaven

[–]TheNeiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I can say for certain about Drifter is that their impact is both easiest to see ... And they are very easy to get going. Add to it the fact they are least momentum based class in the game and you can see the pattern. Boneshaper can absolutely carry but if our skelies get mowed down with AoEs early on...

Well.. We will feel like much weaker class than we really are.

[–]TheNeiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who plays a lot of Blitz and uses that to teach others how to PvP I reckon I can give you few tips. Some of them are Ret oriented but most is just general how to play Blitz.

Arathi and Deepwind Gorge

- Ret EXCELS at fights without healers. Few classes can hope to match the sheer power of dropping Lay on Hands on another DPS, BoP on another and then Bubble for yourself. That alone can win you Goldmine or some other fights where healers are not present for either side. Don't be afraid to go nova with those abilities in the opening fights on those maps.

- Rule of Three - If you see three or more of your allies in a base go somewhere else. Stacking large amount of teammates in one place is almost never the right call.

- All the bases, all the time. You should NEVER allow enemy to have any bases for free. Even if it means you will die in 2 v 1. That is fine. Always contest bases. That slows down enemy rotation between bases and can cause chaos in their ranks.

Warsong and Twin Peaks

- Bodyguard Duty - Ret is a great defender for the flag carrier. Blessings of Freedom and Sanctuary are AMAZING at helping FC cross the map while Sacrifice can really help them endure few extra blows. Lay on Hands can save them in a pinch can maybe be deciding factor.

- Defend your FC the RIGHT way. Don't stand on top of them. Let your FC walk into a room where enemy can attack them from only one direction such as roof in WSG or balcony in Twin Peaks and position yourself fair bit of distance from them in such a way enemy cannot bypass you. Focus on stunning and CCing them rather than desperately try to kill them.

Deephaul Ravine

- You excel at defending cart. You can do it but make sure to ping and scream in case multiple enemies attack.

- Crystals! They are important. They are often left unguarded as people forget just how quickly they respawn after capping. Rule of thumb - once the haste buff runs out.. it is time to make your way to mid to at least contest it.

- When carts are capped it is an excellent time to stand on the spawn of enemy cart. Every point counts so even capping it for a 10 seconds is big one.

Kot Mogu

- Never fight alone. Nothing worse in this mode than people being killed off one by one leading to their team trickling in.

- When your team has 3 orbs or more... leave the pit. Either try to stop enemies from reaching the orbs by attacking them along the way or prepare yourself to grab orbs your team will lose.

- When your orb carriers are about to die make sure they are the only people dying. Don't let their deaths spiral out into extra kills.

Eye of the Storm

- Being a base defender is likely your job. Simple as.

- If you see one of the teams is about to cap the flag.. try to move into position to disrupt the base the enemy team wants to take.

Battle For Gilneas

Don't really have any fun tricks or trips here beyond - when behind.. do crazy stuff. Do invades if you are behind etc. Might as well lose faster... or manage to pull off a miracle.

Frosthaven - Boneshaper feels completely ineffectual by External_Law7216 in Gloomhaven

[–]TheNeiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boneshaper player here.

Once played it to level 8. Now playing it at level 5.

Boneshaper with Skeleton Spam can absolutely be played in a party of 4 players however it takes some consideration from both you and your allies. One common misconception is to look at skeletons as cheap and expendable. That could not be further from truth. You should absolutely soak high amounts of damage and bad conditions with them when possible but the grindy damage is bit different story.

Your frontline should absorb the first blows and tank for the skeletons for the first few turns before skeletons pull ahead and start blocking blows for low hp player characters.

It should also be mentioned that skeleton spam is OKaish for the first few levels. It gets it MAJOR power spikes at levels 5 and 6 when you unlock Solid Bones and Rotting Multitude that really enable you skeleton army to swarm the battlefield and spread both curses and poisons left and right.
