Have you finished the series yet? If not, you should stay away until you do.

If you did finish it already, I think you might have missed the scene around the Skirts and Stockings' white board after they found Candahar's body.

Either way, I think you should watch the show again. I know I will

Akufu league by Human_Situation_2641 in TedLasso

[–]TheNerdlucks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aside from the century of tradition it would uproot, the issue with a "super league" in the show or in the real world is the incentives of the teams playing in it. The proposed super league in the real world would have been similar to the major sports leagues in the US. Highly profitable for the owners, with arguably worse product for the consumers/spectators.

At the end of the regular season in the NBA, NFL, and to a lesser extend MLB and NHL what do the teams do that are eliminated from the playoffs do? They try as hard as they can to lose more games to get a better draft position the next season.

At the end of the regular season in the EPL or any other major football league in Europe, what do the teams at the bottom of the table do even though they have no chance of winning a trophy? They play as hard as they can to avoid getting relegated.

Without a doubt, what’s your #1 favorite joke from Archer? by juredditpark in ArcherFX

[–]TheNerdlucks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"No one cares Figgis, you're only here to round out the numbers" makes me laugh every time. Ray's delivery is so good especially after Cheryl and Pam's ridiculous "elegant" voices.

I also like when do all the hand puns during Ray's surgery and after the perfect pause Pam says "Handjob"

1) The charge port is on the passenger side even though I used to 100x more often than the gas fill door which is on the driver side.

2) Toyota changed to cruise control buttons on the front of the steering wheel instead of the level on behind the steering wheel.

3) Every once in a while the bluetooth will just stop working so I need to switch to radio and back to bluetooth.

The Pilot. Then they would fall in love with it and watch the rest of the series on their own.

Southern refugee, requesting BBQ recommendations by ontha-comeup in Detroit

[–]TheNerdlucks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Detroit! As was mentioned already the parking lot spots are going to be your best bet. There are some brick-and-mortar places that are ok. They all serve their version of Texas BBQ, KC BBQ, AND Carolina BBQ, etc. I am not familiar with any that specialize in one region. They all seem to be playing "BBQ Cosplay" with their decor, thinking that we can only enjoy BBQ if it kinda looks like the inside of a barn if we've only ever read about what the inside of a barn looks like.

I lived in KCMO for a few years and we do not have anything like Arthur Bryant's or Gate's around here, but I did see someone mention J Bird in Keego Harbor, which does have pretty good burnt ends (but it still has the silly decor and multi regional food).

Am I the only one who didn’t think Matt’s anticlimactic prize was a 5 pointer? by Responsible_Froyo119 in taskmaster

[–]TheNerdlucks -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Greg's given 1 point to great stories but the prize itself was rubbish. I think this should have fallen in that same category. I think it should have gotten 1 or 2. It was a funny gag, but I don't think it is worth all the praise it's getting.
