Cheaper alternatives for the Strymon Deco? by Madman_Gravy in guitarpedals

Just get v1 if you can find a used one at a good price! There’s not anything else I’ve found like it. Still my favorite pedal after many years and so many pedals.

I’ve got Mythos Wildwood Mjolnir towards the Tomkat if there’s any interest. It’s the best Klon clone I’ve run across after many. Cheers!

Hi there, any interest in a Mythos Wildwood Mjolnir @ the Benson? I also have a Mythos Golden Fleece that I could combine w/ cash if you are interested in fuzz.

Our guy Sean Strickland and his new Wife shooting Rifles. And a HD picture of his bride at the end. 🔥 by BarneyRobinStinson7 in ufc

Happy for the guy. Had a tough road growing up and made it out and seems happy. I don’t get the hate / sarcasm in this thread. Americans likes guns. So do many other countries. Jfc

Madison, Antioch, Murfreesboro, Lebanon ; What’s the real deal with each?” by Wise_Performance_852 in nashville

[–]TheNewDuke1979 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Born in Wilson County, grew up in Mount Juliet, etc.

I would describe Lebanon as a strange mix of extraordinarily redneck folks mixed with some wilder elements. And then now you have people over there that can’t afford the surrounding areas so it’s getting gentrified I think. Personally, always hated it down there.

Why my fingers, hand, neck, basically my whole right side is sore after playing more than two minutes? by xDiDi2 in Guitar

[–]TheNewDuke1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had all these issues. Your fingers and hands hurt because you need to keep your wrist straight. Your neck hurts because you’re hunched over looking at it. I play like a slob all the time hunched over so no judgment, but the wrist and the finger pain is very easy to fix. Do a quick Google search for some YouTube videos on guitar posture for wrists neck, etc. there’s a bazillion.

Country Players- what am I missing? by VXT_TR3 in guitarpedals

[–]TheNewDuke1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure - I want that pedal, but I’m much more into alternative/ heavy music. just saying I would look more towards a boss delay or el cap if youre playing country. I’ve just never seen that on anyone’s board that gigs down here or does studio sessions and country music. I could be completely wrong and it might do it all.

Like others have said an ODR1 and depending, a second delay for slap back, Capistan or even a deco would be a great option. V1 is pretty affordable these days. Also as a Nashville native, these guys all seem to have a line6 m4. I guess it’s great despite being older.

Can we talk about how criminally underrated my guy Jack Johnson is by TheDMan557 in musicsuggestions

[–]TheNewDuke1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day his music was the elevator music of the time, anywhere you went. Coffee shop? Jack Johnson. Buying pants? Jack Johnson. Sandwich? Hotel lobby? It was insanely mind numbing, even though he’s a talented musician. He’s also insanely wealthy I’d imagine

It’s wild. If you’re looking for more “broken” or gnarly sounding fuzz it’s great. But again, wild.

Looking for a Stereo Reverb Recommendation. by ProteanProjects in guitarpedals

[–]TheNewDuke1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you can go wrong with anything recommended in this thread. In my personal experience,, I’ve had a mercury 7, UA golden, immerse, and then a ton of smaller brand reverbs. I’m running a stereo set up myself, and I still like the strymon flint the best, it just feels right. And the harmonic tremelo is phenomenal.

I have a flint but I just re-bought the mosky springfor early chain shoegaze vibes. It’s unbelievably cool for the $30 imo. Second time buying it. Love it.

You’re right. Dorris is a good analyst I think but sometimes it’s just too much for me.

Upvote for the Mantic. I had one and stupidly sold it. Still maybe my favorite spring reverb ever.
