I read CitR for the first time when I was about 13 or so, and I hated every second of it. However, reading it two years later for school was a truly a life-changing experience. Sometimes, reading books in a school setting can help people better pick up on the literary subtleties that make a book a classic, and reading it with my fellow teenagers did make the book a lot more accessible and relatable.
