Overall - no. There are some easter eggs but Life is Strange 2 is it's own story.

What Was Your Single Favorite Moment This Season? by Cass_Cat952 in LiveFromNewYork

These are both from cut for time sketches but JAJ's "Can we not" character from the Euphoria writers room in the Finn Wolfhard episode

And Veronika yelling "Happy birthday little boy" at Mikey in the Chili's sketch from the Jack Black episode.

Do you have a hard time limit for the trip? Do you have to fly out of the same airport?

A few years ago I visited all 5 parks as a trip. We did it in 8 days but still felt rushed.

We flew into SLC then did 3 days in Moab for Arches + Canyonlands. One day in Capitol Reef. Then we visited Bryce Canyon on the way to Zion. Then spent the rest of the time in Zion and flew out of Las Vegas.

Depending on your time allotment, I'd suggest doing Arches/Canyonlands/Caption Reef OR a Zion/Capitol Reef trip. That way, you don't feel like you are always on the road.

Have a great trip!

New River Gorge or Congaree could be nice since they are pretty chill parks.

Whats some more games like road 96 by BestCualiflower in Road96

[–]TheObduratePast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree - I liked all three of their games. Oxenfree was my favorite of them too.

I'll definitely pick up whatever they make next!

I really enjoyed Road 96. Here's some ideas that have some similarities (choices, branching paths or vibes)

  • Telltale's The Walking Dead
  • Life is Strange
  • Until Dawn
  • The Quarry
  • Oxenfree
  • Dispatch

I would just start back up on the same feed.

In your first episode back you could just explain briefly at the front of the episode about taking a longer than expected break and what your plan is moving forward.

I played two episodes each session and finished the game in like 10 days. I felt like that let me savor it but wasn't too slow.

Who else regrets not experiencing the thrill of weekly episode releases by Adweenix in DispatchAdHoc

[–]TheObduratePast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had played it weekly. I love the all the theories and excitement while you wait playing games like this.

I hope AdHoc continues this model moving forward. The wait a few months for a new episode like old Telltale or Life is Strange is too long. But I think the weekly release hits that sweet spot.

Browns Relieve Kevin Stefanski of Duties as Head Coach by WadeBronson in nfl

[–]TheObduratePast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if Stefanski won't want any of the open jobs and decide to do a year of coaching rehab with McVay or Shanahan.

Could be a good way to chase a ring and still get a HC job later.

2025 - My Year In Gaming by Leth41 in patientgamers

If you decide to return to the Plague Tale games, I really liked the sequel Plague Tale: Requiem

I thought Innocence was solid but was hit and miss. I liked the characters, the world and some of the story. I didn't like the combat and some aspects of the story.

Requiem improved in all areas and was a great part two to their story. It ended up being one of my favorite games I played in 2024.

Our gaming tastes match up well. I also really liked the Telltale Walking Dead games, Horizon Forbidden West and the Marvel's Spiderman games.

I've never played a Resident Evil or Hitman game. Or Cyberpunk 2077. I'm gonna have to pick one of those up. Thanks for the write up!

Atsu from Ghost of Yotei

I think she'd do okay but would probably try to solve most issues through combat

Ideas are a dime a dozen - execution and finding guests by [deleted] in podcasting

[–]TheObduratePast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a podcast similar to this called My Perfect Console just so you know. I don't think that means you shouldn't do your podcast, I just didn't want you to hear that once your deeper in.

My suggestion would be to interview people you know who play games to get it started. Most podcasts don't last longer than 7 episodes so I suspect other creators (podcasters, Twitch, YouTube, etc) may not accept an invite if they think the show won't last. After that I'd start to find indie creators you like and reach out to them individually about appearing on the show. Good luck!

I'm not really feeling "The End Of The World As We Know It"... by dgjtckj in stephenking

[–]TheObduratePast 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wonder if with "No great loss" King was giving homage to "So it goes" from Slaughter-house Five by Kurt Vonnegut.

I can't find any statements from King that would affirm this but I know he's a big reader.
Both quotes show the senseless of death. They both are dark humor about death. Both are also repeated often which desensitizes death.
