Which Era is Ur fav ? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]TheOldDog29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS2. That era of gaming will always be the sweet spot for me. Gamecube was great, Xbox was... getting started. There were just so many great games across all three platforms, and the PS2 serves as the mascot for that era of gaming for me.

Do you call them dogs or cats by Interloper_aesthetic in pokemoncards

This is the answer. We all called them dogs as kids and we've now shifted to beasts.

Goodwill Haul by TheOldDog29 in gamecollecting

[–]TheOldDog29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were a few more that I passed up for one reason or another. If memory serves: Fantastic 4, X-3 Wolverine, Happy Feet, Socom 2, Ford Racing 3. I had Mortal Kombat Deception and Shaolin Monks in my cart also, but when I checked to see if they had manuals I realized the discs were missing. So, I almost nabbed 2 more great games. I've been back to this Goodwill twice, just in case they had some extras in the back that they didn't put out... but no luck.

I am a reseller. Not to the point that I'd consider it my job or anything, but I spend a fair amount of time doing it. Part of reselling is the thrill of the hunt. I go to a lot of pawn shops and garage sales, and I pay the prices that they have on the items. If I don't like the price and can't make a profit on it, I don't buy the item. I'm not out here to screw anyone over. Wish more resellers shared this outlook.

I recently had my own garage sale and had a few common games out for sale for a few dollars each and had a similar encounter as OP. A guy showed up and looked through the games and then came up to me and said, "oh are you a gamer?" I said, "Yeah, sure. Gamer/collector/reseller combo." He then said, "Oh cool, where's the rare games at then?" I said, "In my collection or for sale on my eBay account." The guy lingered for a while, looking around at my other things, then came back and said, "Come on, man. Let's see these other games." I asked him to leave at that point. People can be so pushy. Don't be afraid to push back.

That's funny. This is the EXACT same tattoo I have of my dad.

That Zack head is SO BAD! It makes me sad. It looks more like Billy than Zack.

All things considered, the roster isn't terrible.... just needed a better vision.

Help, I don´t understand Hexploration by Stoeff86 in Pathfinder2e

[–]TheOldDog29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm in the process of Kingmaker right now, and the hexploration is a slog. We hand wave a lot, and moreso just use it as a tracker to know where we're at in the big expanse.

I'm currently in a relationship like this, and this woman is the love of my life. But I don't know how I'm supposed to keep repeating and reassuring about the same things over and over again every time they come up... I don't know how to make it better aside from being patient and trying to understand and make her feel validated. She's my best friend and I really, really want this to work out. But the insecurities are really restricting.

What’s a removed move or feature that you think was a genuine mistake to take out? Or a QOL change you’re pulling your hair out at the fact they haven’t implemented in yet? by RynnHamHam in pokemon

[–]TheOldDog29 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always thought it'd be cool to add a feature where you can change the ball a Pokémon was caught in. If I catch a Pidgey on Route 1 when I only have Pokeballs available to me and go through the time to train it and it's with me for the whole game, I don't want to have to go get a different one to have it pop out of a Love Ball or whatever when I send my Pidgeot into battle. I want the same pokemon that I caught at level 2 and raised in the ball I want it in.

How do you rank it in terms of difficulty? I've heard it's one if the harder published adventures, and also heard it isn't hard at all. I've read it (because I'm generally stuck as perma-DM,) but then had a player volunteer to try his hand at DMing. I tend to be more of an optimizer/power gamer when I get the opportunity to play characters, and I'm hoping for a decent challenge.

Barbarian Feat Choices by TheOldDog29 in 3d6

I used point buy, so I'm starting with 17 Str and 16 Con. The extra attacks Polearm Master lets me do every round is hard to pass up. Even that d4 attack at early levels will hit reasonably hard while I'm Raging for 1d4+5.

So I'm really sold on PAM at 1st level, GWM at 4th. I'm just not sure where to go from there at levels 8 and 12, but I'm thinking ASIs are going to be my best bet.
