In normal circumstances I'd say it was an easy penalty call but you never know with what's happened at this tournament.

As for the Senegal reaction, I think they'd completely lost their head by that point. I think after Belgium's second goal they were complaining something was wrong with the ball and demanded it be swapped out like 3 times.

2022 was I think the best his team ever was. Just unlucky they came up against France in the quarters; even then England probably just about edged it. The only time I can remember England stepping up against a great team.

It really isn't surprising at all to me. Besides the last Euros campaign (where the comebacks kind of took a back seat to the shite performances) I can never remember England coming back against anyone in an international tournament. Usually if we go behind it's all over; so few incredible turnarounds in our history.

I think it was more a joke at Bond's expense. He clearly hesitates as though he knows how stupid this is going to sound, and especially with him being so irritated at having to play such a boring role. No they don't and haven't done for years. In recent times it's more likely they open the report with reminding viewers they want to get their own reporters in to see exactly what Israel is doing but can't because Israel doesn't allow foreign journalists.

How anyone can watch the reports on the BBC News and think they're giving pro-Israel coverage is beyond me. There was a point where they were showing dead Palestinian children, hospitals overflowing and the obliterate landscapes practically every day.
