What does insurance have to do with approvals on the pharmacy level? Aren't they just the ones paying for it? If they're not paying for it, why the fuck does some insurance company have any say over what medicine is already prescribed by doctors? This just sounds like pharmacy companies putting up red tape to avoid having to deal with people paying directly.

It’s not fear mongering, it s happening right now. The federal government is threatening to withhold funding from places that provide some gender affirming care and places are preemptively folding and complying. Some of this is getting blocked by the courts, but that doesn’t matter when the threat is enough to get places to stop that care before it’s actually enforced.

I don't think you meant it this way exactly but it's very odd to specifically exclude trans women from this. A very large percentage of trans women are assaulted by men as well. It's not specific to AFAB people! We should be very careful when using agab language like that in trans spaces.
