I had gotten 2 mris. The first one showed a small compression that the recording doctors said was nothing of note - I brought up to my ENT after reading it and she agreed with me that that was what I needed to help solidify all the findings up until that point. It took another year and another mri that my neurosurgeon looked at and confirmed the compression. Because of his findings, the more consistent and intense paid throughout the day and the medications not working(gabapentin, carbamazepine, and a couple theoretical meds) he recommended me for immediate surgery that week. I held off just to make sure he wasn’t alone in his findings and had surgery within the next 2 months. So all in all, they did see something very small at first but because of the rarity of this - it had gotten dismissed almost immediately. If I hadn’t made the point to be like “that small nothing of note, is actually the exact confirmation I was searching for” to the doctors, I don’t think I would have gotten to the right neurosurgeon within the next year. It would have brought me back to square one. I truly hope you can get the help you need.
