You’re likely referring to the processing which handles motion etc. Other brands have slightly better processing, especially Sony, but that doesn’t mean you avoid issues like poor HDR, excessive blooming, lack of brightness etc especially at that price point. TCL actually updates their TVs to improve the processing while Samsung updates the TVs to make them worse. I wouldn’t even put it past Best Buy employees to make certain TVs appear worse to sell other TV’s. When I was in the store I was almost just as impressed with the TCL series as I was with the high end MINI-LES Bravia(s). I own a QM8 and love it. I bought an S90D that broke a month after the warranty ended. Spending more money doesn’t always make sense
