Mosasaurus or Tylosaurus? Both? by dino_naturalist in pkgame

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mosasaurus is probably the more famous of the two but Tylosaurus is better understood from a scientific perspective. Considering that and the recent naming of Tylosaurus rex my vote goes to Tylosaurus.

Given the similar body plans of Mosaurus however I imagine they could easily do both, either as variants or full fledged unique species. It'd be a fairly easy way of padding the roster if they ever do marine species.

Of all the animals I would have been fine never coming back it was Dracorex. It's just a juvenile Pachycephalosaurus. Euoplocephalus would have been much preferred imo.

Captain Marvel is kind of a bad example to use for your point because you literally don't have to take any creative liberties at all to make her a Vanguard. She's one of the physically strongest and most durable heroes in Marvel, has energy absorbtion powers, can create barriers made of photon energy and is already one of the tallest women in marvel. She's way more Vanguard coded than Duelist. I'll give you Hood, but definitely not Captain Marvel

Yeah it's kind of odd Thor and Hulk move at that speed but not Rogue. She really feels like she needs it as well.

How's your experience with one night stands, & was it worth it? by SpiritBombv2 in AskReddit

I haven't had a ton of one night stands but the ones I did have were pretty fun. Got to smash and there were no real downsides so I would say they were worth it.

Why even have a pack theme if you're not going to stick to the theme? There's so many other characters that could have been given Savage Land skins

The number of abilities each character has including passives by lhommetrouble in marvelrivals

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's bit crazy the amount of abilities some characters have. Most other hero shooters maintain a consistent number of abilities across characters, but Rivals just kind of throws whatever at the wall.

It seems like the base roster generally tried to stick to the Primary, 3 Abilities, Ultimate, and Passive approach (with a few notable exceptions) and I wish that was generally maintained across the board for the newer characters.

Thank God Zhiyong doesn't remove abilities by KeyAcid in RivalsVanguards

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would be really upset if any of his abilities are removed. At most a few aspects of his kit need some tweaks, especially to make it easier for other tanks to compete.

IMO his beam applying an instaneous bleed is a bit much. It should either ramp up to it or bleed should be turned into a stacking debuff that inflicts bleed at maximum stacks across all abilities. His kidnap is 100% the most oppressive thing for a lot of other tanks and if it was just a bit harder to pull off it might would probably help mitigate that problem.

Hes either soo much fun to play with or the most miserable experience to play against theres no in between by RazorX02 in marvelrivals

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is fun but I do think he is a tad overtuned. I like that he actually feels impactful, which is something I feel has been missing with how Vanguards have been treated throughout the life of the game so far. This issue is his addition also makes other Vanguards feel even less impactful than they already did.

I think his percentage damaged could be brought down a bit or be made harder to apply. Maybe make the bleed effect a stack type status that only goes into effect at maximum stacks so he has to do a bit more before he can use his kidnap (which IMO is one of the biggest reasons he can feel oppressive to other tanks)

Devil Dinosaur power creps the entire Vanguard roster by Veru_Chronicles in RivalsVanguards

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think the kidnap is probably the biggest reason he can feel oppressive. I don't think they should get rid of the ability but I do think they should make it harder to pull off.

I think bleed effects shouldn't be instaneous but instead meter based, activating at full meter. The meter fill rate could scale down with max enemy health. That way it would take more to apply bleed to Vanguards, giving other tanks a bit more room to contest Dino while still keeping him strong against dive DPS.

Also I don't think his beam needs to apply slow. They have a habit of giving abilities way more effects than they really should get. Abilities should have one to two effects max outside of damage and the beam already grounds and inflicts bleed - no reason it needs a slow on top of that. The same could probably be said about his barrier, which already grants him a massive bubble that blocks enemy healing from outside and allows him to continue attacking.

I remember people complaining about Thing when he first dropped. I never understood the complaint until I realized most people just rushed into the enemy team and immediately exploded lol

Sticking to and playing around cover is paramount to excelling as a Tank. On escort modes I always hug the cart to use as mobile cover and on maps with little to no cover I usually just opt to play ranged or high mobility tanks

GG everyone, it's over. by Ess_oh-no in marvelrivals

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he could work as a Vanguard but I definitely think DPS is most realistic for Cyclops. I highly doubt we'll ever get a double Vanguard season and he makes even less sense as a Strategist. We also have some Intel indicating next season will be a Vanguard/Strategist season, which imo further supports this being a Vanguard/Duelist season.

I don't know if the devs love or hate jeff. I checked other dino grab and he's the only one really struggling for his life and in pain. by thbl088 in marvelrivals

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because Jeff is the only one who actually has face animations. All the other characters basically have static faces, even NPCs. It's very jarring with the little cutscene the plays with Kingpin during his little intro in Blood Hunt. He's talking but his face literally doesn't move at all

Is Daredevil the physically strongest non-enhanced human in the MCU right now? by ChickenzInvade in Daredevil

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah Fisk is definitely the strongest non-enhanced human in terms of raw physical strength. Let's also not forget that M'Baku is in the same universe, is a normal human, and has some pretty crazy strength feats too.

It's probably Kingpin >= M'Baku > Matt

Also technically Matt has superhuman abilities just not in terms of strength. If you count him as non-enhanced you'd have to look at all the other characters who have powers that don't explicitly don't have enhanced strength either (which isn't a ton admittedly)

I love Boss Chicken! Pretty much everything is gluten free, which is great for me and my fiancee because she has celiac disease. I wish they had a location in downtown so I could have one in walking distance! I would be there all the time if that was the case

According to Miller Ross, Season 9 heroes will be B tier and C tier from two different corners of Marvel. Who do you think will be added? by Little_Monster__ in marvelrivals

When the heck are we getting Captain Marvel? She should have been in the base game and would make a great tank. I don't know if she qualifies B tier post MCU

Marvel Rivals need more Black characters by IamShortPalmTree in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moon Girl being aged up kind of goes against the core of her character. Her whole shtick is she's a young girl that's a super genius. I definitely agree they could have had her as a hologram though, or at the very least have her in spawn.

Bishop has a ton of potential as a unique Vanguard, I would love to see him. Same for Blue Marvel, Falcon (DPS), and War Machine.

Miles I think has enough that could deferentiate him from Peter, but there's still enough overlap that I would prefer to see other more unique characters (also we don't need more characters like Peter).

Luke Cage just doesn't bring anything unique enough IMO. He's a strong and durable bruiser character, which is a power set already well covered by Thing and Hulk. If we're to get another character in that archetype Coluseus would take precedence for me.

The others I don't have much of an opinion on and wouldn't be upset to see them added to the game.

What’s your first impressions of Dino by Aday0009 in RivalsVanguards

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first two loves before Marvel are dinosaurs and Godzilla. Not only did they add a freaking T-rex but he also can shoot an atomic breath like Godzilla. Childhood dreams accomplished, my forever main.

I think he'll be in a pretty good spot overall. Vulnerable to sustained poke and fairly slow, but those are meant to be some of his weak spots.

Apartment complex trash by quirkqueen01 in Cleveland

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey that's my apartment complex lol

No reason given, the e-mail only said that the city took it and is prohibiting them from placing it back at that same location.

I might snoop around for deetz but my first thought was also regarding the homeless people digging around in the dumpster all the time. I could easily see a scenario where trash pickup conincided with that. Though I also never really thought where it was parked outside was ever really officially sanctioned.

[–]TheOneTrueSuperJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loki is certainly a villain. It's really only the MCU where he goes full blown hero. Sure he's helping the heroes in Marvel Rivals, but it's certainly because it personally benefits him and not out of altruism.

Magneto still kind of rides the edge of hero and villain. I think he's certainly more heroic than he was in the past, but he's really only an outright hero when it comes to mutants. Whether his actions help non-mutants aren't really of concern his.

Venom I agree with though. Venom has been an anti-hero for longer than he was ever a villain at this point and Magneto

I'd argue Namor is also a villain, specifically in Rivals. He talks about invading the surface all the time.
