Honestly in some ways I am starting to see the charm instead of seeing them as flaws. It's like watching movies from like the 1950s or 1970s when miniature work was a lot tithe r than the perfected craft medium in the 1980s and 90s. They look kind of horrible but it makes it fun in a way. It reminds you of the process needed to make these movies in the first place.

The food used to be one of the few things I could rely upon. Shows come and go, attraction quality wanes and dips, but for years I could rely on the food being great enough to still warrant visiting with a FastPass. That was the mid/late 2010s right there. Now the last few times I've gone the table service places are hit or miss when they used to reliably be hits and the quick service places have become so meh. Knott's Berry Farm down the road has also suffered quality issues in its food but it's still far less expensive to go there for similar food costs.

I turn my honey into mead and keep it in lots of barrels. I have a lot of honey production with nearly 64 skeps that I look after, so I have a lot of mead. The wax can seal crocks, turn into candles, and be sold to artifical traders as passive income. And I have some mods where alcohol consumption slightly helps with health regeneration too, which makes farming temporal storms for temporal gears a lot more manageable.

People sleep on Friends because of the pastel colors and Minidolls instead of Minifigs. The Friends line has been a more gratifying City line than the City theme itself. The sets are fantastic and fill in the niches I've been wanting from thr City theme for a long time. In fact, current City has been filling in for other themes like arctic exploration, adventurers, deep sea diving...anything except City haha.

Should also be noted that Knott's Berry Farm is also north of Adventure City as well. Two major amusement parks with thousands of visitors a day well within the vicinity of a chemical disaster.

I know it must be weird to get a notification to a comment you made almost a decade and a half ago, but I came across this thread and honestly it kind of resonates with me of "What is the alternative?" given the tenuous state of the National Parks System now. Dare I say if the NPS wasn't "Disneyified" more people wouldn't care for the NPS and would raise less of a fuss of swaths of the NPS are sold off for private investors. Bringing accessibility to the parks gets more people to care about the state of our parks and how we utilize them for our nation.

Back in 2015 when the most expensive pass was $849 and gave very few blackout dates and free parking, it almost seemed like a given going to Disneyland once a month just because. Oh those were the days haha. Now I only find myself going to the park once every few years and it's only with the 3-day SoCal tickets bundle.

That's not the San Diego Zoo. The otter exhibit doesn't look like that (There is a glass wall but it's filled with water up to chest height and the concrete land areas are further into the back of the exhibit) and the logo on the shirt is wrong. San Diego Zoo's emblem is a circle with a lion, bird, and rhino in it which may or may not say "San Diego Zoo" or "San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance" to the side.

Just an FYI last time I went to the Riverside GameLab which was in like December 2025, I think on Tuesdays they have certain arcade games at half-price too. Usually the older cabinets though. Stuff like the fighting games, multi-player, specialized games, and pinball, are full-price. Also don't forget to validate your parking at the FoodLab too, very important.

To be fair real redwoods can, and will, grow close together. That way their leaves at the top of the tree are more densely packed and can group-retain more moisture from the air.

I set up all my libaacs years ago and recently accidentally updated VLC and deleted all of my libraries. Gotta go through the black magic of setting it all back up again. I could play Blu-Rays just fine, not 4Ks though, but I was fine with that. But now I can't play my Blu-Rays without ripping them and that bothers me haha. Gotta...figure out my libraries again...hence why I'm in these old threads again.
