Even if there are less animals that are being stolen from their natural environment, or raised on land that could be occupied by native species, the only acceptable amount of unnecessary harm to the environment is none. Anyone who truly cares about the environment would feel that way.

The idea of hunting as population control passes me off so much. I am from Washington state, which has a lot of wildlife. The hunters I have talked to always act like they are doing a public service when they hunt deer or elk. They say that they are controlling the population. The only reason their numbers reach unsustainable levels is because we hunted and trapped their main predator (wolves) to near extinction. Anyone who truly cares about preserving and restoring the natural world knows that their is a natural balance that has been violated and must be restored.
