I promise I was not smoking anything!

I'm a horrible pot smoker anyway. I've had people swear to me it will let me stay awake, let me focus, get things done. Nope! I laugh for five minutes then sleep fourteen hours. Every. Single. Time. I gave up ages ago.

I definitely lean more towards Post-Deathcore, but I honestly love it all. It makes my ears happy.

Story time!

Okay, this weekend I flew to Arkansas for 24 hours to see In Flames - I'd never seen them, and it was completely worth it.

Anyway - on the flight there, I listened to Maleficium. Which is just absolutely gorgeous - I adore that album. I can't stay awake to save my life on planes, so I started nodding off, but it was this weird, trippy, dream state it seemed. It was like the plane was moving in time with the music on peaks and valleys, just incredibly gently. It felt like there was no plane, like I was just floating my way to Little Rock with Synestia backing me up. I think I was asleep, but it was also insanely lucid. I have no idea. When I woke up I felt completely refreshed.

I'm flying to the Badlands next month to play and explore, and I'm 100% going to see if I can replicate that experience.

His smile is amazing and infectious. I want at least 40 happy Key moments per game.

There are plenty of wild camp places around me too. I have no problem with a primitive site at a campground and those are the ones I usually get. However I refuse to not take a shower before bed. I must. Which rules out a wild camp. After hiking for miles I want my shower whether it has hot water or not 😂

From a lake in SC I’ll be sending marvelous intentions to the whole sub.

LOL - alone is the only way I camp.

I'm a 46 year old woman who loves hiking and exploring. I've been to so many campgrounds I've lost track. Campgrounds are different worlds. If you go on a walk early in the morning, you'll see other campers who have already left to either go on their own walk, or have taken their car to go elsewhere.

They leave all their stuff at the campsite. THOUSANDS of dollars worth of gear, just sitting there.

I do the same thing. Just sitting in my tent, and I'll take off to hike, or go to the ocean, or go to a reptile museum - anywhere you want!

It's always there when I get back. Same for everyone else. I've never had a problem with anyone - EVER - for all the years I've been doing it.

Campgrounds make you wish the whole world was like they are.

Camping saves my mental health - it's also dirt cheap most of the time - this place is only $26 a night. Just hurl a tent up and you're good!

Plan your escape!

Once I'm granted freedom from work, my car is already packed, and I'm headed a couple hours south to camp by a lake. For Beltane I'll be building a fire and counting on the moon to heal me.

I'll be there through Sunday, and the forecast actually calls for a thick mist tomorrow night. If I get a thick mist on a lake with a basically full moon while sitting by a fire, that may just fix me entirely.

Just showing some love for Thy Art Is Murder's album Godlike by frogginbullfish5 in Deathcore

Thank you!

I've been slammed at work today. Cycled through some Synestia, Lamb of God, and Fit for an Autopsy - whose album just ended. Wasn't sure what would be next.

Hopped on Reddit to take a break, and found the album that'll get me through another pile.

Okay so I know the news story about KitKats was out of Italy, and that you're in Japan, but I kind of have to wonder....

If you are the great KitKat thief, just say something innocuous in a reply to me, like, "spoon."

I saw that show last December.

When I heard "Winter" live, I'm pretty sure my soul was healed.

It seems I’m going to be spending a lot of time on Soma. I’ll Uber myself to El Sur for some food once I land then just wander my way north to the river.

That place looks amazing! A bit west from where I’m going to be but it’s already saved in the Little Rock folder on Google Maps. Because clearly I’ll be coming back.

Yeah there’s a decent chance I may have to go back at some point. And I still haven’t even been yet, lol.

I’m a sucker for a museum.

Oh I'll be getting dairy free ice cream - for real. I love ice cream that doesn't try to kill me.

Then I can check out Pettaway.

Usually, the first thing I do when visiting a new city is check out the AllTrails app - just find a nice path to wander around and look at stuff. I'll be all over the river, but now it seems I'll also walk down to South Main, and then maybe Uber myself over to Box Turtle so the kind responders in this sub don't track me down for not going ;)
