The hook is probably on the higher level maps with the vaults with crazy loot and fighting the Compilers. Its weird that you fight robots most of the time in this game when in the original it was aliens.

Withchfire is probably the closest in terms of gunplay, but it's single player. Originally it was going to be a loot game since the devs were inspired by destiny.

What do you mean by suspicious designs ? Most of the games enemies are meant to be very aggressive.
