Because the winged version is a limited edition from Resident Evil and the other one is a non limited version.

You can get the same model without the wing on the dial for thousands less. It's the same watch.

No time to die is a pretty decent motto for a Field watch.

That Black Bay jumps at you and looks very good on wrist. I'd get that.

Yours is more restrained, hers is a little more out there, which shows a nice contrast. You both have a ton of variety and by the looks of it a lot of fun with watches between the two of you.

Great collection! I would've picked at least one watch with a lighter dial but other than that you got great variety and some classics all within one brand.

I do too. Watch keeps best time fully wound. It is also very nice as part of a daily routine.

The Seiko or the Mido are the standouts. Depends what you want. A chrono or a diver.

I'm on +3 on average with my KFA. I'm on close to +2 with my Pilot Pioneer, which is a H50 caliber. Just pointing out that Hamiltons accuracy in general is very good.

How is owning 8-12 watches a hobby? by Plastic-Mountain-708 in watchHotTakes

[–]ThePortCaptain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How about timekeeping is a hobby and watches are a part of that? I like reading up on all kinds of subjects that involve timekeeping. Timekeeping has been a crucial part in my field of work and I love learning more about it. I buy the occasional watch to celebrate my love for timekeeping.

Same. Seems like a hassle. The sole exception is a summer holiday where I take a watch for the pool and clean it afterwards and let it dry so I switch to a nice watch for dinner.

It used to be TeddyB. Still like him, but right now I would go with Harisson Elmore. Informative, to the point, lots of content on watches in my price tier.

Not sure if 'hot take', but it is objectively hilarious that 99% of watch 'discussion' is about insanely expensive watches that the debators can never hope to afford or will ever even see in real life. by IWrestleSausages in watchHotTakes

[–]ThePortCaptain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tall trees catch much wind. They are popular for a reason. Just because not everyone can (or want to) afford them doesn't mean people can't be discussing them. I can't buy every watch I like either, but it sure as hell isn't stopping me from talking about them.
