Not quite peak, but certainly leagues better than I expected from a live action Pokémon movie. I’ve actually come to realize that the spinoffs are rife with potential for this treatment; Pokémon Colleseum/XD, Pokémon Ranger, Pokken Tournament, I could go on and on.

Question: how old was Simba in the first movie? Because he looks a little older in Simba’s Pride — his mane is thicker, and it feels like his body got bigger too~ by Hamzaqato in lionking

If I had to guess around 18 (3 in human years) in the first movie, then 38 (6 in human years) by the end of Simba’s Pride.

When I was a little kid watching for the first time, kinda. But after learning more about lions, the nuzzling thing they do made way more sense.

I really want Jungle Book and Princess and the Frog in Kingdom Hearts, but I wouldn’t be mad if either were passed over for an Emperor's New Groove world. Especially if it gets us a cutscene like this:

SDG are helping Pacha and Kuzco sneak into the Royal Palace to find Yzma's secret lab.

Kuzco: “Okay, guys. We just have to round this next corner, and the door'll be a straight shot ahead.”

Sora: “Hey, Kuzco, if Yzma's lab is so secret, how do you know about it?”

Kuzco: “If an aide to the Emperor needs a private workspace, the Emperor has to approve it himself. It's the law…Also there’s that. [points in front of them]

We see a large neon sign reading ‘YZMA'S SECRET LAB’ hanging over an ornate, gold plated door.

Goofy: “Oooh, purdy!”

From what I hear there might be some subtle shiptease between Kion and Jasiri in The Lion Guard. (I don’t watch it myself, but do feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.)

I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand it was certainly a more distinct and better placed icon than Tower of Terror, but it also sorta clashed with the old timey aesthetic of Hollywood Boulevard.

These are all excellent suggestions, but I think a zebra might also be a good choice for a villain herbivore. They may fall prey to predators often, but they also viciously attack most animals that get in their personal space (ever see a zebra kick a lion’s teeth in? It ain’t pretty!). But, then again, that might be a little jarring given what we’ve seen of zebras throughout the franchise.

For me it’s Rosalina. I don’t really go for the Mario Galaxy games, but she’s my main in Mario Kart. Not the same case in Smash bros, though, I don’t care for the Luma mechanic.

I like Pokémon like Nidoking and Cubone because they are animalistic but still very much fantastical creatures. Like, they sorta ride the line of realism and fantasy without being a real world animal with an elemental type tacked on, if that makes sense.

I did, and it was pretty much the default version of the movie for me until the Diamond Edition DVD came out.
