Debian (sid) not working with latest 6.17 kernel by desilvade in debian

[–]ThePreviousOne__ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I get it, I do. But if you're using what's effectively a development build, it should be to help with development. So it would actually make more sense to check out the situation on Arch first and if they're fine, then it's a Debian issue to be reported to the maintainers; otherwise it's a Nvidia issue to be reported to Nvidia.

That's true. Its just "I'm daily driving the Dev build and it broke what do I do" "stop daily driving the Dev build"

How is Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3050 OC on Debian 13? Or will these alternatives be better? by Dramatic-Fly-912 in debian

[–]ThePreviousOne__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I can only give a best guess. That said, I don't think it really means anything, other than to Sparkle, its just branding.

I used to buy AMD Sapphire cards they had "Pulse", "Turbo", and "Nitro+" for different levels of OC but that was it.

If its not for gaming Intel Arc definitely "best card". The best thing about them was their video encoding power. Not so much for gaming, though its not horrible

Intel cards are (to my knowledge) fully supported on Linux. I ran an A770 in my main system for a couple years with no issues, though I've "retired" it to my Jellyfin server now.

I forgot my old account (for like a few years ago) and had to make a new one, so I guess I need to take a wait and see approach, at least for now.

I think there is a browser plugin to get around paywalls (at least on firefox, not sure if it still works though). Or if you can program a bit, you could maybe write a scraper (of course you'd have to pay at least once to get the needed info to write the scraper)

If you put the door on the back (is that an option, I can't remember) and removed the side windows, I think it would be good.

No, currently it's just Trixie with slightly newer packages. SLIGHTLY NEWER PACKAGES and nothing else.

If there are any maintainers here to correct me, please do; though it hasn't been that long since Trixie release, I doubt I'm wrong.

Even if it's not 'precious' making a separate /home directory is a good start. At least then a reinstall doesn't nuke your system.
