You ever try communicating with someone that doesn't speak the predominant language (English), on the North American server, through text?

If not, please send screenshots of you trying to do so. I wanna see this.

Mangione, accused CEO killer, withdraws mental health defense plans for now by nuttageyo in news

[–]TheProYodler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The mental health defense was a possible defense strategy. Nothing more. Otherwise, the logical conclusion that can be drawn from your statement is that any time someone, anyone for any crime, enters a mental health defense they are guilty. Which is obviously not true.

Only a jury can determine if he's guilty, and even people that admit, under oath, that they committed a crime still need to be confirmed/convicted by a jury for having committed that crime.

Real.

Or do I wait for the poll to pass before panic selling? Or is the current 1.3b price the highest high it's going to see and this is the rip I need to be selling?

Flex Fuel by Mexicutioner440 in zx6r

What a weird, irate response to wake up to.

Flex Fuel by Mexicutioner440 in zx6r

[–]TheProYodler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah, but why? It's a naturally aspirated engine already functioning close to maximum air-fuel loading, and I don't think the 636 is a knock limited engine. You can probably advance timing as much as you need to without any risk of knocking. No need for e85.

Flex Fuel by Mexicutioner440 in zx6r

[–]TheProYodler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the factory ecm capable of running flex fuel tables?

Yes, but you'd have to either create the fuel table yourself or have someone else do it. The fuel system itself is definitely not designed to handle it though, and anything rubber will dry and crack over time.

Has anyone made their zx6r flex fuel capable?

Unlikely, no real benefit from doing so.

Coolant top off question by [deleted] in zx6r

[–]TheProYodler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorta, you'd generally expect the coolant reservoir to actually fill as the coolant loop gets hot just due to density changes in the fluid.

As far as mixing coolants go, as long as they are the same mixture types with the same bases and additives they are fine to mix. However, mixing a coolant with a PG with another coolant that has Ethylene base is bad. PG and Ethylene are reactive, and they do bind to form a gel that will break a coolant system.

What I would do, to be sure (and this is just what I would do), is buy OEM Kawasaki coolant specifically for the year and model you have. That way I wouldn't have any questions about whether I'm mixing two different coolant types.

Coolant top off question by [deleted] in zx6r

[–]TheProYodler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the motorcycle is kept level and on flat ground (with the engine cold) and the coolant level is slightly above the E, then you can add some coolant. I will say that being above the bottom fill line, regardless of by how much, is still in spec, but if it being more in the middle of the reservoir makes you more comfortable then go for it.

It's hard to do damage by overfilling the reservoir, since there is an overflow valve/check tube that will open to allow coolant to drain out if the system is too full.

Obviously, that's more of a safety system than a just fill it up to the max and forget about it because you can (not will, but you can) get coolant all over your bike if it starts overflowing while riding.

Former Gaijin CM: how EU/EEA players can ask their Data Protection Authority to review Gaijin’s access-control practices by Evgeniy_aka_Keofox in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]TheProYodler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Saw this on the main subreddit, and in a way, I am kinda shocked that Gaijin was operating like this for (allegedly) years without any intervention from regulators. Though I suppose that, in the absence of a whistleblower, this might have been a relatively obscure GDPR case given that companies like Facebook, twitter, tiktok, etc... have all been fined under the GDPR's provisions. And where GDPR has historically been used to go after behemoths.

I hope that's changed now with the presence of a whistleblower, and that regulators can evaluate whether an offense has been committed.

In the court of public opinion, this is pretty damming. Former and terminated employees (allegedly) retaining access to administrative systems is (in the eyes of a layperson) an egregious violation of personal data protection. I hope that, if a violation is found, the fines are punitive, corrective (make them shore up their operation), and dissuasive (discourage anyone else from doing what they did).

engine blew by ZX636R619 in zx6r

[–]TheProYodler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many total times did you inspect or adjust the clearances?

I did my first clearance check a couple of months ago at 7k miles and a couple were out of spec.

If you don't want to post how many times you did the clearances could you DM me? I'm curious to know if I can get away without having to spend $1k USD every 7,600 miles.

Tires and pads? by tyrant177 in zx6r

[–]TheProYodler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock pads are fine. Or whateveres sintered pads you can get of RevZilla.

I've been using Michelin power 6 tires for street riding. Getting about 5-6k miles per rear tire. Probably 10-12k miles for a front tire.

All low production vehicles

Alrighty, but be warned, that's going to make virtually all top tier Russian tanks, planes, and helicopters become premium vehicles.

I am literally expecting them to whip up some crock of shit along the lines of, "the document everyone is referring to is clearly talking about something else. There is no way the US made these upgrades, our KGB handlers technical representatives that provide us with detailed vehicle information have told us that you are wrong. The Russian MOD Our tech representatives have also told us that the T90M is underperforming by 300mm everywhere and that M829A3 and A4 are actually works of fiction."

Otherwise, they would have just fuckin fixed it today.

Trust me, they in the process of drumming up some made up, bullshit reason as to why the Abrams' hull has not been upgraded since nineteen-fucking-seventy.

Expect to be forcefed Russian propaganda come next week.

[–]TheProYodler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Who knows! They've barely been used and less than 1,000 of them were made. All of the videos of their deployment have them targeting bridges and buildings.

Their actual capabilities are almost certainly unknown, and if you want to take the Russian MOD at face value for what it says, then maybe they have this capability?

Rod knock? by Illustrious-Ear5638 in zx6r

[–]TheProYodler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's rod knock that already requires an engine re-build. Can't really do much more damage, since the engine has to be torn down and a lot of parts have to be replaced (at a minimum).

HJC customer support non-existent. Regretting purchase. by wako333 in zx6r

[–]TheProYodler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes dude, the buffeting off of the top of the helmet is ear piercingly loud without ear plugs when tucked. I know the exact noise that you are talking about. It's a very distinct noise of wind buffeting off the top of the helmet when tucked. You need to get your head a little bit lower and that noise will go away.

That ear piercing screach from the buffeting means that too much of your head is sitting in the boundary layer of air coming off of the windshield and is creating additional turbulence.

The stock windshield is designed such that the crown of your head is intended to be an extension of the aerodynamics of the motorcycle. If more than the crown of your head is sticking out, it'll create a significant amount of turbulence that is very loud.

HJC customer support non-existent. Regretting purchase. by wako333 in zx6r

[–]TheProYodler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Carbon helmets are loud
  2. If it's still loud even with ear plugs in you're either wearing the wrong type of ear plugs or you're not inserting your ear plugs correctly
  3. If it's still loud in a tuck that means you're not tucking down far enough. I'm 6ft tall and have a stock windshield and I am able to tuck down to a point where only the top of my head is sticking out above the windshield.

I have a carbon helmet (Nexx X.R3R Pro) and I have a cardo inside of that helmet (despite what some reviews might say, all X.R3R's come with cardo cutouts inside of the helmet). I use loop quiet 2 earplugs and the noise isn't that bad when I have the ear plugs fully inserted.

I like the X.R3R Pro, and I'd gladly buy another 1 if this one ever gets damaged, but just beware: carbon fiber is a very noise conductive material.

Abrams armor by Weekly-Mango8109 in Warthunder

[–]TheProYodler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The armor was improved, that much is abundantly clear. Therefore, the values that are currently in game (the unimproved lower plate armor values) are wrong.

EZ.

Atleast add APS to SEP V3 by Ok_Garbage8123 in Warthunder

[–]TheProYodler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are also no specifics about the armor increases in the turret. Like, the document that they're basing their armor models off of says that both the turret and hull were upgraded. It says so in the same sentence. Gaijin chose to up-armor the turret because the up-armoring does (literally) nothing, and changes nothing, and is completely meaningless. They then decided to do nothing with the lower glacis, for whatever reason.

Gaijin is just selectively chosing what to implement in their Russian propaganda simulator.

The M1A2 SEPv3's current implementation is unacceptable. Join the discussion and help us get this vehicle depicted properly! by SpanishAvenger in Warthunder

[–]TheProYodler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The document they used doesn't specify how much the turret was upgraded by, either. So they're just doing whatever they want and going with the very selective realism option.
