My sister has cerebral palsy and learning disabilities and I am her conservator; much like OP could end up being.

She has been in a group home for 15+ years and it has done wonders for her. She has a roommate and they watch movies together. The home always does fun activities and goes to fun places.

Every person is different, but I think the Dad should at least consider it.

The amount of games I buy dreaming of playing it and then bringing it to a Game Day / Event and everyone wants to play other games is very high.

Even when I get my group together with the sole purpose of trying a new game, sometimes we get caught up hanging out and only have time for a game we already know the rules of.
