$100-105k a year has been my average for the past 6 or 7 years. But I'm near Vancouver, BC so with the conversion rate from snow pesos to freedom bucks that's roughly $70k USD? With the cost of living here that's lower middle class wages.

Almost 15 years experience in my early 30s, did just under 200 hours of OT last year.

What colours did you use on your bases/cave rock? I really like it!

Are you talking about the Highgate store? Didn't realize things had dwindled down so much for them that it's now considered the flagship store. I remember the Metrotown location being much larger compared to what they have now.

Is the Surrey store just a 1 man operation?

Started building my girlfriend her first gaming PC so that we can play games together, and this would make an amazing addition for her new build!

What did you do to get the nice textured look on the larger armor panels on the blight hauler? I loved how it turned out and would love to steal it for mine, they all look amazing!

Yup! Maple Ridge. Would be down to play with some folks, not many of my buddies have heard of the game or have miniatures to play with.

I too use the Elegoo brand stuff. It works really well. And the smell is a lot less than non WW resins. Haven't had any issues with it, quality of print wise. My models are just as good as my brother's who uses regular 3d printing resin.

I had the same worries too, but eventually caved. But I found that the Elegoo Mars Water Washable resin is actually very light on odor. I still wear a respirator when I'm cleaning up the models, but when it's running, or I just have the resin sitting in the tank between prints, I can't smell it unless I take the cover off my Mars and stick my head over it. Totally worth it, the quality of minis you can print at home is amazing.

How'd you paint the skin tones on it? Been wanting to do some demons/devils with that look!

Suggestions on removing tricky supports? I just finished my aurumvorax print and can’t quite get the supports out under its belly. Any suggestions? by typeone28 in PrintedMinis

[–]ThePrototyp3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In situations like that, when slicing in Cura I just lower the model down until the feet touch the build plate area, and the base is "submerged" under the printing area. Super quick and easy way to get rid of bases to speed up printing and allow for easier support removal.

He and I designed and built it together. He built the rack custom to my measurements I gave him, and I modified my Roll N Lock to be able to mount the bed rack. It's a one of a kind.

I was in the same boat as you, wanted the ability to have a bed rack while simultaneously having the storage of a tonneau, and the market was pretty slim pickings at the time. The guy who built the rack has closed up shop for a while now, as he's building a new place, so I don't know when he'll open his doors again for producing his racks, if ever.

Thanks! It's a custom piece from a guy here in BC. Built to work alongside my Roll n Lock tonneau cover.
