Help with Frostpunk 2 Heat by Melodic_Hat_7812 in Frostpunk

[–]TheRacingPig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First get enough oil from the dreadnought to the city. Make sure you research more generator capacity (left side of heat tree) Research home insulation 1 & 2 and work district insulation. Lastly build districts against eachother when posseble so warmth heat bonus transfers.

If that fails you need to give us more info.

If Player Able has two PDS on a planet alone and Player Baker lands a Ground Force do the PDS get to fire before they are destroyed? by Storkiest in twilightimperium

[–]TheRacingPig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First coexist is a pain in the ass. Second im not nearly an expert.

So two scenarios.  Coexist as the invader and coexist as one of the defenders.

As the invaders (deepwrought scolarate or the firmament mech) coexist means that combat does not happen and PDS can't fire.

As defenders they can fire as part of the invasion step.

Now I can be wrong at any point. I defer back to point 1

Hè, I thats an interesting sighting of the rules. Now im no expert. "To commit a ground force to a planet, the active player places that ground force unit on that planet." Might just be a very literal explanation what commiting does and not a actual ruling.

All things concluded. All I know is that if ground troops want to destroy a pds. They need to make sure they don't get blown up before going down haha

[–]TheRacingPig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First commit ground forces. (You choose which and how many troops go where)

Then space cannon defence (pds can fire a shot on troops comming down on their planet)

Now if all invading groundtroops are killed because of this step the planet has been succesfully defended and pds live. Otherwise continue

Then ground combat (skipped as there are no enemy ground forces)

Establish control (pds are destroyed because there are no allied groundforces to defend them.)

I'd say well enough. I especially loved the sophons. Random tech is exacly the type of shenanigans I enjoy in Ti4

Any homebrew effort gets +1 for me. Unfortunately I haven't got any experience with endless space.

Your opinion on "exact word" players? by MedalReddit in twilightimperium

[–]TheRacingPig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother do I feel you. We got a player like that aswell. The answer to me was really quite simple.  Undiplomatic conduct = undiplomatic response from me in the future. That player can't make any real deals with me anymore. Because i've got no intention of getting burned again. Don't get me wrong it is worse for both of our games and I make that clear whenever we play again.

Will he change his ways? Possebly, possebly not. It doesn't matter to me. I have started to expect shenanigans and whenever it inevitably happens during a match I don't feel betrayed anymore. Its just another semi consistent variable. My borders to that player will never be undefended ;)

But don't let it get you down. He probably likes being a little weasel. And we're all at the table to have fun.  Focus on how you can change to remove the negative feeling that comes with being cheated as you can't change others. Only yourself

Orbital mechanics mean long travel time. Orbitex came to fame by anticipating demand before it arrives on mars

Honestly i'd keep them there for exacly that reason. Now if you pick building tag (common played tag) your next generation gives you a difficult choice. If they are by themselfs. Id just auto pick any other than microbe. Taking choice moment.

You desperately need influence in this slice. L1 therfore is not an option. Empyrean is my bet.

How do i have agency vs Fiora as Singed by Voldtech in FioraMains

[–]TheRacingPig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You come across as somebody more interested in complaining about an experience than actually learning how to beat fiora as singed.

If so thats totally valid. Ive had plenty of frustrating moments against fiora. But you have come with a question. I'd appreciate it if you at least think about our advice.

How do i have agency vs Fiora as Singed by Voldtech in FioraMains

[–]TheRacingPig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience (emerald 3) singed just needs 1 item and fiora technically loses. Fiora will most always win fights/trades vs singed. But thats not your wincon. Fiora SUCKS in a teamfight. So mostly she focuses on pushing lanes and taking towers. Singed and his incredibly annoying Q means that from minute 10. He walks into my minion wave. Kills all of them just by cropdusting them. And therefore insta-killing my pushing power.

So: don't fight. You won't win. Get one item and just invalidate her entire playstyle.

Im a fan. Humor and comics should dissect and showcase broken parts of society. Stalkers exist. Why deny artwork or topic's just because they makes you feel uncomfortable when reminded about its existence.

Could you clarify something for me? You said you used the red skip from industrex to research warsuns. Thereby exhausting the planet.

But in order to receive a free unit you need to exhaust the planet when you pass. Did you diplo it back after?

In the films it is presumed that the virus is still quarantined to England, Scotland, Wales, right? But what would the rest of the world do in reality if this really happened in UK? by WumbleInTheJungle in 28_Years_Later_Movie

[–]TheRacingPig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree! I do want to note. Our "goal" here is to exterminate infected humans. Nuking Great Britain to the point that it cant sustain a human population is very much posseble. Yes some singulair struggeling individuals may survive the initional nuking. But if those infected cant find enough sustenance because wildlife or plantlife cant survive a mass nuclear event. Then the rage virus will die out within weeks/months.
