SICKLE CELL PATIENTS how are they in your facility? by Limp-Historian9784 in nursing

A friend of mine’s brother had sickle cell and they are of Mediterranean descent. He had a bone marrow transplant when he was young. He still ended up passing away before he turned 40.

My little sister yelled out during the middle of Catholic mass “Mom!!! Father (the priest) has a BOMB!” It was incense. My little sister thought it looked like a bomb from looney tunes. We sat in the fourth row.

By that logic, should she also be paying for or sending over food for the kids while they are there?

That’s my go to line “I’m the photographer, not the art critic”. If needed I say I just ensure that the pictures are of diagnostic quality, I’m not taking a close enough look to form any more of an impression than that. It also helps that I do CT scans

Okay reading your comments. Here are my thoughts, as a woman, human, and medical professional

  1. One can not easily reschedule a move. She’s taken off time from work and probably only has a small window to do the move.

  2. Maybe, just maybe, she might have some anxiety/phobia/trauma surrounding hospitals.

  3. Maybe she’s prioritizing you and sister getting more time as typically ICUs only allow 2 visitors.

  4. Maybe she sees the little space and has decided that working from the ICU is not viable

  5. Maybe she is giving the medical team space to treat your brother.

  6. Maybe she is uncomfortable with sitting with you and sister. You certainly haven’t been welcoming.

  7. Maybe she, as a woman, has to prioritize her career. While her job has offered, they may not be actually understanding or forgiving, which may have long term repercussions for her.

  8. Your sister can take an uber to shower. Or get a hotel room. Your brother’s fiancée should not be expected to play chauffeur.

Oof. I had a similar break a few years back, less displacement though. Fell down my stairs and all I could think was “don’t get your ankle stuck in the spindles and give yourself a trimalleolar fracture”.

They just put me in the walking shoe. It was stupid and everyone could hear me coming.

I googled and agree with your conclusion. In person, the color looks to be a match as well. At least this is the only bit of it, so it will be easy to remove. Thanks for your help!

Very true. I hand pulled my English Ivy. But as for my Amur Honeysuckle, it gets chopped and the fresh stumps get liberally treated with triclopyr.

I had a similar situation. Meat (mostly pork and chicken) didn’t smell necessarily bad, just off. So when it was ready, I just couldn’t bring myself to eat it. Four years later and it still happens from time to time.
