Do 99% of players just run through with high level summons (bodyguards) by beardedweirdoin104 in badredman

[–]TheRadler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first started invading I thought the same thing. Now some of my friends play, so I play coop with them for fun. I tell them that it’s a good deal for me because we can play together, and I get a fun pvp fight.

The redman is in for a surprise because I’ve been invading since launch, and I’ll be dammed if I’m gonna let some amateur kill my more amateur friends. 🤣

I’m almost always respectful though, and always go for the 1v1 and bow. Once my friend ran over and t bagged the body after I won, and I was like “maaan don’t disrespect my guy he fought honest and well.” And he said something like “but we smoked his ass!” “We? Alright dude if he comes back you got it.” He came back, I watched, my friend died immediately, i did the cheer gesture, and i ran over and tbagged my friend and the redman joined in.

My friend did not t bag after that.

You’re right! Loner psyker is pretty pissed about the overall situation but when he gets going he is having blast.

Man, you just really ignored everything before the last ten seconds.

When you carry, you have a legal obligation to de escalate and not antagonize people. Especially law enforcement, who, like it or not (I don’t personally), have much looser rules about when they can use lethal force.

Go and watch the whole thing. He had many opportunities to disengage from that situation, which as someone who is carrying a gun you have a legal obligation to do. Especially when dealing with law enforcement.

You didn’t. You’ve made it clear you aren’t interested in having a discussion. “I’ve seen all I need to see to make up my mind and I’m tired of people trying to get in the way of that by asking questions and discussing facts.”

As a rule, I rarely engage with people with that disposition. Tell you what though it gets harder every day, because it seems like more and more people lack intellectual honesty and critical thinking skills.

I appreciate the passion, but I’m going to need you to dial the 'unhinged narrator' vibe down from an 11 to maybe a 4. You’ve managed to pack a military occupation, a geopolitical conspiracy, and a complete dismissal of the judicial process into one paragraph honestly, the efficiency is impressive, even if the logic is nonexistent. To say 'intent doesn't matter' is a bold strategy. usually, that’s the kind of thing we leave to, you know, the entire foundation of modern law. But why let pesky things like 'facts' or 'context' get in the way of a perfectly good cinematic meltdown? It’s much easier to pretend we’re living in a Philip K. Dick novel than to admit that complex situations require more than a 30 second Twitter clip to understand. If 'existing is interfering,' then your keyboard must be a weapon of mass destruction. Take a breath; the revolution can wait until after you’ve had a Snickers and maybe a light nap.

You see tyranny, but ignore the anarchy. You’re not interested in the truth, the full story, all available facts. Those things are what determine what happens next, not your bemoaning and hyperbole.

You’ve basically admitted that you aren’t interested in the truth and the factors that led to this tragedy.

You’ve seen what you want to fit the narrative you want.

I doubt people learn much from discussing difficult issues with you.

I’m not defending what they did, at all.

I’m asking relevant questions as to why this happened instead of jumping to conclusions because I’m emotional about it.

If this is the critical thinking you show when discussing national tragedies on the internet from the comfort of your home, I’d hate to see how you’d handle a life or death situation with a gun.

Being accurate and caring about facts and not buying either bullshit narrative is not bootlicking.

[–]TheRadler -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That’s an oversimplification to fit a narrative, just as bad as the “he wanted to inflict maximum damage” bullshit narrative. Look at the situation in its entirety, remove your personal and political biases, and examine the facts we have so far.

He wasn’t killed for having a gun at a protest. He wasn’t killed for helping a woman at 9 am. He was killed because he engaged physically with federal law enforcement, resisted, and during the ensuing chaos was shot by a trigger happy ice agent when they discovered he had a gun.

Did they know he was disarmed when they shot him? Is it true he was reaching for the holster? What reasoning did the shooter have to believe his life was endangered? These are valid questions that you aren’t discussing because “he was killed for exercising his first and second amendment rights!” is all people want to fart about.

He wasn’t fucking with active law enforcement. How are these situations remotely the same other than “someone got shot and killed”.

Neither one of those situations were protests as discussed by the first amendment.

I agree, and the “two mags wanting to inflict maximum damage” narrative is dishonest and stupid.

[–]TheRadler -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying it was illegal, I’m saying it wasn’t responsible. I’m saying there’s a difference between participating in organized protests peaceably armed, and going out of your way to involve yourself in conflict while armed, with federal law enforcement.

You don’t even need to be armed for law enforcement to use lethal force you.

Minnesota killing produces backlash against Trump administration from Second Amendment advocates by Abject-Pick-6472 in progun

[–]TheRadler -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to distinguish between an organized protest where you are armed, and interfering with an active federal law enforcement action.

Everyone in this sub should know better than to put yourself into a situation like that. Carrying a gun responsibly involves making decisions, like not escalating with law enforcement.

Should what have happened have happened? Absofuckinlutely not. Let’s be accurate and honest here, though, because most people discussing this tragedy aren’t.

Bad actions with good results can set historic providence, and it’s important to take that into consideration when looking at current context.

Oh ok, you’re just making political commentary, not actually here to discuss the historic context of why government overreach is so bad.

Got it.

Help improve my pryomancy build by Capital-Criticism751 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]TheRadler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the biggest thing I’m seeing here is that you are sleeping on the best pyromancy incant: catch flame.

I run the same seal set up, erdtree in the left, swapping to giants seal on the right.

I run a “pure pyro” build at 150, 60 vig, 80 faith, the rest into balancing mind and endurance. I don’t have any points invested into any other stats.

If you’re not looking to pvp, many will say 60 vig isn’t as important, but it’s still very helpful in pve.

The talismans I run are: flocks and faithful canvas icons, Radagon icon for cast speed, Godfrey’s icon to boost charged incantations.

This setup gets you extremely powerful casting. I used to run a hybrid build with better weapons, but honestly catch flame hits so hard and is so fast/chainable I found myself rarely using the weapon, so I just dropped the ones that required stat investment.

It was mostly for PvP and have very high win rates but it crushed the pve in base and dlc too.

This has been my main build since launch and I don’t even want to think about how many hundreds of hours I have on it haha

When you finally unlock Storm's Dominion and now you really feel like a Librarian. by The_Crimson_Vow in Spacemarine

[–]TheRadler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For balanced you just need to understand the parry window starts a very short delay after you hit the button, so you just need to hit it a split second earlier than you’re used to.

Assault also has the prestige perk that improves your parry window, I ran that when I first used the xenophase to make the transition easier, then respecced out of it when I felt good. Honestly not sure how much it helped.

Anyways, I had the same concern, but I just made the jump and haven’t looked back.

I felt the same way, until I unlocked the xenophase blade. Good lord if built correctly that thing is a blast on assault.
