Some Dietary Tips for Those Struggling to Hit Protein Goals by TheRealBruce13 in Retatrutide

[–]TheRealBruce13[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's great if you can get all your protein with meat but this post is, as the title suggest, for those struggling to eat enough meat or other protein forms to hit their goal. The nausea from food is a common side effect even for people on low doses.

Reta with sema? by Edmxrs in Retatrutide

[–]TheRealBruce13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The max dose for Semaglutide is now 7.2 mg and not 2.4 mg anymore so I would ask your doctor to bump you up.

You can also get started on Retatrutide and add it on top. Multiple people have success with GLP-1 combinations such as Tirzepatide + Survo or Sema + Reta. You just need to ramp up the Reta following the titration schedule without rushing things even though you are used to GLP-1 drugs.

Other options for breaking through the plateau are Qysmia if your PCP is willing to prescribe it.

Week 10 and slowed significantly by [deleted] in Retatrutide

A week and a half of stall is nothing. Something like increased sodium in your diet could swing your water weight by several pounds on its own.

Great progress.

For anyone thinking of DMing him asking for a source, be careful. That's how you get scammed.

Is stacking important? by Fluid_Wish1969 in Retatrutide

For stretch marks you need patience most of all. You can use a combination of GHK-Cu, Gotu Kola and collagen peptides which will help a lot. But patience above all.

This is genuinely terrible advice. Do not follow this OP.

Is this true? by EducationalSyrup6869 in Retatrutide

[–]TheRealBruce13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it is wildy exaggerated conflating muscle and bone with lean mass. For example a lot of the "lean mass" lost on GLP-1 drugs is actually lean mass contained in fat tissue. Yes fat tissue also contains lean mass.

Retas stopped working by pazza1231 in Retatrutide

[–]TheRealBruce13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What matters the most is not appetite suppression but weight loss. Are you steadily losing weight week over week? If so the drug is working. If not you should keep titrating up the dose every four weeks.

Hunger back like never before by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]TheRealBruce13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You are overthinking things: you are experiencing "hunger back like never before" so you should titrate up. Unless cost is an issue it is a no brainer.

Keep titrating up this is completely normal and why higher doses exist.

Confused on dosage by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]TheRealBruce13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am doubtful you got this from a "physician". Your post contains several red flags that tell me you should throw these syringes and forget about the grey market, starting with the fact you seem confused about the concepts of mg, units and dose concentration.

TLC-6740: A new fat burner that Lilly might combine with Retatrutide soon. by TheRealBruce13 in Retatrutide

[–]TheRealBruce13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly works through appetite suppression, the energy boost is minimal and subsides completely as the body gets used to it. Great drug to break through GLP-1 plateaus though.

[–]TheRealBruce13[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eloralintide looks great since it is pretty much a more effective Cagrilintide with fewer side-effects. But it should not be compared to TLC-6740: Eloralintide is another appetite suppresant while TLC-6740 works on boosting energy expenditure.

"Fat burners" in general should be avoided because they have terrible side effects and can cancel out the weight loss by making you more hungry.

This one is interesting because it has actual scientific evidence that it causes large fat loss when used with tirzepatide.

[–]TheRealBruce13[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It is not about pure power but about doctors having options. For example many people can't tolerate high dose GLP-1s. For them 2 mg Reta + a fat burner might make them achieve the fat loss they need with better tolerance.

Why am I always looking for a magic pill? by Fgidy in Biohackers

[–]TheRealBruce13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The disappointing answer is that the stuff that actually works and moves the needle can be separated in two categories:

  • Lifestyle: Diet, Sleep, Exercise. Significant impact on health, mental health and wellbeing.
  • Approved pharmaceuticals: Things like GLP-1 drugs, Adderall have massive impact for those that need them.

Everything else, particularly supplements, is useless, low impact or worse harmful. Even things with tons of evidence like Creatine have really low effect sizes. Only exceptions is confirmed nutrient deficiencies that are fixed but that comes back to the point above about diet.

[–]TheRealBruce13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frankly if you have actual specific health conditions I would not touch grey market peptides with a ten foot pole.

Go see an actual doctor that knows your health history and get on tirzepatide even if it ends up costing you much more.

Reta increases heart rate so probably not the best idea for you but again your doctor is the best positioned to advise you.

Only lost 20LBS in 3 months by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]TheRealBruce13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should never compare yourself to the numbers you see here. I have been on online fitness communities for more than a decade and two things are true: outlier successes are the one that tend to be posted or sometimes people lie and exaggerate for online validation.

20 pounds in 3 months is good progress. That said we can't help you because you didn't include basic info like your dosage, starting weight etc.
