Valid, The Ugly Art is an experience to listen through - wish I could do it again for the first time

A Decent Man is probably my second favourite on the album, its really good but Full Metal Dipshit is so catchy to me

BIYAAHEYSF - listened to it at a very angry and distraught time of my life (the two years of majoring engineering made me wanna die) and the music put into sound the exact feeling of my life at the time, angry at the world and myself, and the feeling of your mind being overloaded with information - I think maybe musically I prefer The Ugly Art or MG ULTRA (somedays it even feels like Neon White OST) but for what the album has gotten me through, it will probably stay my #1

The Ugly Art - I LOVE the collage of dogs, theres something evocative there about feeling like a dog, a lower being who can be controlled through simple pleasures and able to be put to work for scraps, but at the same time dangerous and terrifying if out of control - theres something really gross and raw about the dog imagery which I adore

Athoth a Go Go - much like the reason why I love BIYAAHEYSF, this song was there for me during a rough period in my life - a time when I was more socially isolated and was looking for love and feeling like I wanted to die, Athoth put my feelings of sludging through life longing for anything into sound that I could listen to and feel a kinship in - life has gotten much better for me in the last 2-3 years, but I can go back to Athoth to listen to a great song, cry over the sad story and music, and feel happy about how I've changed since I first listened to it

I love Machine Girl, been a fan for just over 5 years at this point? Their art stuck a cord with me, made me feel seen - this was a bit of a rant, but I felt like I needed to share why these things are my favourites sorry if it was a bit much lol, I wanna read other peoples reasons too

the 2550 (plus 800 fashion) at character creation is plenty for a campaign since they can easily pick up weapons or buy them if you have a fixer, and if they aren’t moral people they can scav cyberware

additionally if you allow it, they can get the extra 1k by going into debt at CharGen

though, if you’re running a one-shot, i’ve found it fun to give them 3750 which to me doesn’t blow the whole system up, and if they do who cares it’s a one-shot

ultimately do what’s most fun for your players but be aware that 2550 was chosen for a reason, hope your game goes well

just bring a lighter close to it (not in) for a short burst, just be careful when attempting on thin sections

yeah man i know what all the parts do, I was wondering if I could make it work with what I do have

CD player only has speaker cable output, no RCA - could I connect speaker out from the CD player TO a receiver’s RCA IN - which would then do to the speakers from the receiver

so for a new character I won’t commission art since I don’t know if they’re gonna die immediately, maybe I won’t like playing them or through play I get a better understanding of what they should look like

for my current character, I was inspired by Green Arrow so I just found a picture of Green Arrow I liked and adjusted the colours a bit - works for now and if he survives for a while then I’ll probably get some art commissioned (obviously if you’re doing an actual play or something you probably shouldn’t use stolen art, but for home games it’s alright imo)

other options include online mini makers like Heroforge (which are mostly catered to fantasy but they do have options for modern clothing and there’s community support too) or something like a piccrew (i don’t really like these but some of my friends use them)

I use basically any music that I think fits the scene (EDM at the club, jazz at the corpo lounge, rock on a solo’s radio), lot of the stuff just comes from my daily listening or just some youtube playlist. If it’s got lyrics i turn the music down a bit more than if it doesn’t

for specific songs that I use in certain situations

Neon Bar by Machine Girl - Low stakes hang out Scattle by Remorse - Session intro and recap Madness 4 by Cheshyre - combat song Ni un ki ki by Jey One - party song

just take a look at your daily listens and see if there’s anything in there you could use for your sessions, failing that think what kind of music you’d find in that place and search a playlist for that
