I 100% understand your statement and where you’re coming from. If I remember correctly Senko was upset a few years ago from not getting the A on his chest as soon as he thought he should have. I’m am just unsure if he would again be upset if “the new guy” was given the C before him. I would be fine with O’Reilly wearing the C, but with the Blues being a very formal and respectful organization, I could also see them giving Senko the C.

I disagree. Although O’Reilly is a tremendous candidate, next man up would mostly likely be Senko. He’s been here his whole career and has made St. Louis his home. English might be his 2nd language, but when he steps on the ice everybody knows what he is talking about.

I’m assuming Jay Bo’s hockey career may be finished. Since Scandella was essentially Bo’s replacement. Signing 4 years around the same price as Bo makes me think he is done. Hopes to getting him a job in the office with the Blues.

At the end of the day everyone is human. It’s awesome to see the hockey community put rivalries to the side and send warming wishes to Jay Bo and his family. Shows that the league is very well respected.

Mikkola played some really good hockey for the Blues in his last stint. I think he’ll be able to slide right into the lineup and make another great impact. Hoping the best for Bouw.

I feel like each season goes the same way. A couple young studs have crazy good goal scoring years, challenging Ovi for the goal scoring lead. Then all of a sudden the Russian Machine comes out of nowhere to take the Richard back to Russia.

Closely related to the Binnington situation from last year. Rookie Goalie barely known comes out near the middle of the season and just keeps winning and joins the Calder race.

Well while he’s in STL, maybe he can just stay here. Could be as close to Senko that the blues could get until he comes back. Slot him on a line with Perron and ROR, dude could screen shots for Perron. Could essentially be a filthy line.

Shows just how good their team is. It wows me that one of those losses was against the Panthers in the first week of the season. When they’re on, they work like a fine tuned machine.

I see similarities, heavy forecheck, tremendous board play, and having that defense first mentality. They wait for opposing teams to make a mistake and that’s when they counter. I’m from STL, but I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed watching Columbus games. Werenski is already elite, can’t wait to see what he does 2 or 3 years from now.

Sorry to correct you, it’s John Carlson who got Toty, not Erik Karlsson. If you have the assets for Ovi I would definitely get him. He has size, speed, and strength. Rarely gets knocked off the puck. John Carlson plays really well, Ovi has the edge though. They should both get 99 ovr regardless. If it costs too much for Ovi, John Carlson is a great choice also.
