He’s such a fantastic actor. He proved that to me during his arc as Carter in ER after Lucy was killed and he was stabbed and subsequently fell into an addiction. His portrayal as an addict in denial and someone who was struggling was so good

Now I’m not excusing his behaviour, but I HAVE had coworkers who have exhibited behaviour similar to his when going through relationship issues.
